"Inch by Inch renovated our basement. It, at one point, had plywood for walls, but now mostly had been insulation that was falling down, ancient carpet, scarily old wiring: it was not just gross but probably dangerous. Andy and his contractors with Inch by Inch made it not just functional and safe but gorgeous. They tore it down completely and rebuilt: flooring, walls, ceiling, wiring... The basement may now be the best room in our house. He listened to our needs and concerns at every point; he was very responsive to questions; everyone was punctual and thoughtful. I also feel like his prices are very reasonable for the high quality they deliver. I could not be happier. Recommend them very highly! We're hiring them again to add a bathroom in the basement."

"When I called and left a message for Darrell, he returned my call right away. He explained that replacing my shutters would probably take a day, and he could do the job between his other, bigger jobs, calling me the day before he planned to come. That was fine with me - I understood it's not a huge job, I wasn't really in a big hurry, and my schedule is very flexible. He called a few weeks later, saying he's coming the next day at around 8am, and sure enough, he showed up when he said he would! That alone scores points! My husband and I had purchased replacement shutters from Lowe's already, so Darrell's job was just taking down the old ones and putting up the new ones we already had. After a short time, he told us something we hadn't noticed: the first-floor shutters are longer than the second-floor shutters. We just measured the one that was knocked off the second floor, and bought the same size for all the windows. Darrell went to a local building supplier right away and brought back a sample wheel for us to choose from, and we did. Before he committed to the purchase, he figured he'd go to Lowe's and see if they had the same thing we bought, only in the proper, longer size. Well, they did, and he bought them. Lowe's has a great return policy, so we just returned the original ones that didn't fit - no problem! Darrell did a great job and explained how the way he screwed the new shutters in would be sturdier than the original ones. They'll probably last at least another 16 years, probably longer. Darrell was very polite, friendly and respectful. He did all this running around in the morning and still finished the job by about 2pm! His actual labor charge was $350 ... the remaining was the cost of the shutters he purchased for us. We'd hire Darrell again in a heartbeat!"

"<br /> Basements Love US came out in a terrible rain storm to address a water leak in my concrete basement. They identified two areas of trouble; my patio slab connected to the back of my basement and two vertical cracks 10 feet high. They poured concrete and replaced the slab including a bell drain for drainage which came out very nice. Even built a stair that leads to the sliding glass patio. They repaired the vertical crack by digging down to the bottom of my wall (excavated) and they used this waterproof gel, then filled the space back with dirt. It looks very nice. The waterproofing and concrete work came with a warranty which gave me comfort. They also sprayed the basement with a mold remediation product and did an OZONE treatment to purify the air. "<p>From the time I was contacted by Lori to the meeting with Michael, the experience of selecting a company to resolve our problem became very comfortable. Lori was very helpful whenever I talked to her and Michael provided the details of what they would do, and there was no pressure to make a decision at the time of the meeting. The people who were going to perform the work, called and indicated they were going to be a little late - provided me with the time - and they showed up as indicated. Josh reviewed all that was going to be done and provided me with the opportunity to answer any questions I had or came up during the installation. They did everything to ensure that the cement dust wouldn't come into my house. They arrived prepared to work and they did - the entire day. They had scheduled a 3 day time frame, however, the entire job was done under 2 days - cleaned up and looking good. The electrician was scheduled that Friday and he also showed up on time and prepared to work. </p> <p>Thank you, Michael, Lori, and the crew you sent to do the work - Access was most definitely the company to pick to get this job done. We were apprehensive about finding someone to do such a large job and it turned out selecting Access took that apprehension away,</p> <br />"

"I needed the house cleaned for showing to potential tenants, and it needed to be done before school started so I decided to hire a service. The gentleman from the company walked through the house with me in order to make an estimate. We discussed doing the windows as well but it would have doubled the cost so I told him I would think about it. I pointed out some spots that I knew would need extra attention and he assured me that they would get it all very clean. I eventually decided against having the windows done and told him so when I booked the appointment. <br /> When I stopped in to leave payment and check on progress, the ladies were working. However, they were not told that I decided against the windows so it was a good thing they double checked with me about it (probably because of the amount I wrote the check for). <br /> I came back the next day to check on the work (we live across town, so it was the soonest I could get back). For the most part the home was clean, except for a couple of items. The kitchen floor looked like it might have been gone over with a swiffer mop or something, it was definitely not clean. There were also still smudges all over the walls in the finished basement and it appeared that the basement surfaces had not been dusted thoroughly. I emailed them immediately and the ladies came back the next day. I walked them around the house and showed them the issues. One of them chose to argue with me about the kitchen floor, that it would not come clean. It was quite dirty and the flooring is slightly textured which makes it more difficult to get clean. I explained that in the past I had sprayed it down with windex and let it sit for a few minutes before mopping and it cleans up beautifully. She continued to argue until I said I would go get a bottle of windex and teach her how to do it, at which point one of the other ladies interrupted and said well, let's just move on. They must have figured something out because it was much better when I returned, but this incident is the reason for my "D" rating on professionalism. <br /> There was apparently a miscommunication between management and staff about the basement walls- the ladies said they thought they were not to clean them. Those were done perfectly when I came back to check the work. <br /> Overall they did an acceptable job. I really didn't appreciate the lady arguing with me about the floor, I could not have shown the house the way it was left the first time. I could have gone back and done the floor myself later, but the whole point of hiring a service was to save myself the time."
