From the beginning stages Colin made helpful suggestions to put together a design that we loved. Both Colin and the office manager Monica were responsive to any questions that came up along the way. Friendly crew that worked very hard and did an impeccable clean-up job each day. It looks like a brand new house from the outside and we couldn't be happier! Given pretty much a blank canvass he and his crew transformed the front of our home. "Excellent, went above and beyond expected. My back yard was a mess: uneven, poorly built fence, lots of debris, water pooling, cracked uneven sidewalk. Patio is beautiful, very helpful in choosing pavers. But he went above the expected and used to extra dirt to even the back yard, lifted the uneven sidewalk, adjusted the fence and even put in a drain to prevent erosion to complete the job. Very professional. Would recommend."

"It went well - Ken built the scaffolding one afternoon, and completed the work the next day, I think. He seemed very knowledgeable and wanting to do things correctly - even if it was more work. "We met with Brian and two other landscapers. He seemed to be the most responsive and the price was right, so we went with him. <br /> He and another guy showed up and went straight to work removing the rock bed and burying the down spouts in our back yard. They broke for lunch and then started working on the front down spout. Around 2 o'clock in the afternoon he told that he didn't have a part they needed to finish the third spout in our front yard and that they would be back on Monday to finish the job. I was a little disappointed that my yard would be dug up all weekend and that I wouldn't be here on Monday to see the finish product before they left.  <br /> When I came home Monday I was pleasantly surprised to how seamlessly he was able to bury the down spouts and how nice the mulch looked. He redid the edging around the bigger flower beds that surround our house, put down some weed barrier and definitely didn't skimp on the mulch. (Although the mulch itself has faded rather quickly over the past two months from a dark brown to a light brown, but I know some fading is to be expected with dyed mulch.)  <br /> There was one discrepancy between the work requested and the work completed. He had edged and mulched around a small tree in the front yard, when we had in fact asked for mulch around our pine tree in the back yard. We called to notify him of this error and he said he would be out the next day to mulch around the tree in the back. Sure enough, he came out the next day with plenty of mulch and did the whole corner of our yard around the tree. I guess my only suggestion to the consumer is to be clear about what you want and make sure he writes the specific requests down. Otherwise he did a fantastic job. <br />"

"Awesome, quick, excellent job of repointing brick foundation around historic home. Softer bricks used in 1880's require specific analysis of mortar. Using too firm of a mortar can crumble the bricks. This company accurately selected the right mortar, matched width of existing mortar. After 2 weeks, we couldnt tell the new from the old. We have had no leaks, and the work is beautiful. <br />"

"UPDATE: They filled the hole neatly and removed the sealcoating from my garage door. The cost was $965.00, which I believe was lower than average for the size of the driveway. I am now quite satisfied. My thanks to the company. Results are distressingly poor. The men arrived on the day scheduled and worked hard for about three hours. However, they did not fill the chuck hole they were supposed to repair. They also splashed sealcoating onto my new garage door and sidewalk, and left it there, where it dried into a paint. They dumped debris from cleaning the driveway onto my grass rather than onto the bare dirt of a nearby planting bed. They caught clumps of debris into the sealcoating. Furthermore, after waiting over sixty hours for the sealcoating to dry - more than the 48 hours we were told to allow - the sealcoatiing has become imbedded with tire tracks now that it has been driven on. They also failed to return to fill the chuckhole yesterday, after saying that they would. The work was done three days ago. Today is our first day to drive on it. I did not contract with this company directly. My driveway is shared, and another owner arranged for the work."

"We have a large patio made of paver bricks.  After having two types of edging that the frost heaved up, we decided to try their curbing.  When Corby  the owner came to give us an estimate, he said they don't normally use the cubing for this, but said it would work since it sits on top of the ground, so the frost won't affect it.  He also said that it would stick up about 2" above the bricks.  We agreed that we could live with that.  We decided to use the mowers edge style of curbing. <br /> The crew was very courteous and worked to ensure the curbing was pushed up against the bricks, as the machine they use can't lay the concrete right up against something.  They did a great job, and cleaned up really good.  <br /> We hope to add more curbing to other areas in the future. <br />"

"We hired Spivey to add a sunroom and deck to our home. They also replaced all of our siding at the same time. From start to finish, they were top-notch all the way. We had friends who had used them, including three who each used them for various projects twice. Joe Bailey's ideas for our project were so on target with what we wished to see in the end result. The project manager Tim along with each and every person who worked on our job were amazing and very skilled at their craft. We would highly recommend Spivey and if we ever need another project to be completed, they will be who we call...just EXCELLENT!"
