"Friendly, prompt service. They replaced a circuit breaker, fixed an outdoor outlet and replaced an outdoor light fixture. Steve and his son knew what they were doing and our issues were taken care of promptly and efficiently."

"I needed someone to install a couple 14-50 outlets in the garage for EVs. I received an almost comical amount of offers and the prices varied tremendously. C&C called and we had a great conversation about what I needed. He taught me a thing or two about home electricity systems, did great work on the job itself, was a pleasure to talk to and deal with, and very reasonably priced. I'm going to have Joe come back soon to clean up some of my circuit breakers as whoever did them before we bought the house clearly wasn't C&C. Joe even came back at one point on his own to make a change and improve something I was already more than happy with. Great guy, great work, highly recommended."

"I am a builder, I have used Logan / LVR Electric several times. Logans attention to detail, knowledge, and ability to complete projects when he says is a rarity in the contracting world. I HIGHLY recommend LVR!"

"Carlos and his team did an amazing job with our fence project. He came out and finished the project is 3 days and that's only because of rain. Otherwise they would have finished in two. Respectful of property and cleaned up after themselves leaving the yard as they found it. We would hire them for another project in a heartbeat."

"It is very convenient, and reasonably priced.  The only thing that they could work on is the punctuality of the pick up times.  The rest of the experience was satisfactory.  My daughter has also used them.  I would highly recommend this service."

FAQs for outdoor lighting plan and installation projects in New Milford, CT

Permit requirements for outdoor lighting vary depending on your location and project scope. Simple fixture replacements don't require permits, but projects involving new electrical circuits, extensive trenching, or significant system expansions often do. Local building departments establish these requirements, and many professional electricians handle permit applications as part of their service package.

The timeline for outdoor lighting installation varies based on project complexity. Basic systems might require only one to two days for complete installation, while extensive lighting networks with numerous fixtures and complex wiring needs could extend to a week or longer. Weather conditions, property accessibility, and soil characteristics can all influence how quickly professionals can complete your installation.

Outdoor lighting offers both practical and aesthetic benefits that many homeowners find valuable. Beyond enhancing nighttime visibility and security, well-designed lighting can highlight architectural features and extend outdoor living hours. While installation represents a significant investment, quality lighting may potentially increase property appeal and could contribute to overall home value.

Some outdoor lighting projects are suitable for homeowner installation, particularly simple solar fixtures or low-voltage systems that plug into existing outlets. However, projects requiring new electrical connections, permanent wiring, or integration with home electrical systems demand professional expertise. Electrical work carries inherent safety risks, and improper installation could create fire hazards or code violations.

The operating cost for outdoor lighting depends primarily on your fixture types, bulb selection, and usage patterns. Energy-efficient LED fixtures consume significantly less electricity than traditional incandescent or halogen alternatives. Controlling your lighting with timers, photocells, or motion sensors can further reduce energy usage by ensuring lights operate only when needed or beneficial.
