"DO NOT HIRE this company. They took my money and DID NOT FINISH THE JOB. My apartment was severely damaged by a fire. I hired Star Light to install a new kitchen, a new closet, put up crown molding and paint the whole apartment. Basit Khan, the owner, is a smooth salesman. He comes across as calm and professional. Once retained, he is neither. He insisted on full payment in advance. I asked what recourse I had if they did a bad job or didn't finish the work. He just kept saying that Star Light is a reputable company. In January and early February, I paid Star light in excess of $33,000 for the work. As the work progressed, Basit yelled at me over the phone on multiple occasions. I had to give the paint job to someone else because I could not endure his constant unprofessional behavior. By then, I had already paid almost $2000 more than the agreed cost for the rest of the work. For over a month, he promised to finish the job but never showed. And still owes me money. I have to sue."
