"Indy at Golden Willow listened to what we needed and worked promptly to share plans and reasonable estimate. The work was done within a week, and I was surprised to come home to see all done within a day, cleaned up, and exactly as we discussed."

"We hired this company last spring to remove several bushes and trees, plant new arborvitae and evergreen trees, and refresh the mulch in our yard. I want to start by saying the crew clearly worked hard?this was a big job that took about five days, and we appreciated the effort they put in. Unfortunately, the quality of the work did not match the time and effort. Three of the large evergreen trees were planted noticeably crooked, and the arborvitae were not planted deep enough. As a result, eight of them died within a relatively short time. When I contacted the company to address the issue, they initially agreed to replace the dead arborvitae. However, after that, communication stopped. They never followed through, did not show up as promised, and ultimately stopped responding to texts altogether. It?s disappointing because we invested a significant amount in this project and expected both proper installation and basic follow-up service."

"Look no further. This was the BEST landscaper experience I have every had, bare none!! They worked so quickly, efficiently, doing even more than was expected and you are also buying a families almost 100 years of tree/shrub experience as they have owned their nursery for generations in SE Wisconsin. They are amazing for any/all kinds of landscaping, tree/shrub install, placement etc. Can't wait to find more projects to partner on."

"I cannot recommend Landscrete Inc. enough. We had steps installed > 20 years ago. Over time, we noticed the steps shifting, becoming a tripping hazard. We found out that the original installer did not remove the stoop underneath. Landscrete came in removed the existing step, along with the stoop and remade the steps better than before. We also had our retaining wall around our patio and 4 trees redone. Landscrete did a remarkable job which will last for years. The guys were respectful of the surrounding areas, cleaned up after everything was done, and protected the grass from becoming mud. If we do more hardscaping in the future we will definitely be using Landscrete again. Jaime, the owner is easy to get in touch with and very responsive."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Newark, IL

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
