DAM Concrete is a new company, built off of 10+ years in the trade. I started with my families company in Toledo, OH and then I joined Local 886 as an apprentice and in 4 years I became a Foreman. I decided to move down the Columbus 3 years ago working as a supervisor for a company. I've been on all sorts of projects from residential driveways and stamped patios, to commercial warehouses and apartment building to just name a few. I've always had the goal to own my own company one day, and I'm starting to live that dream.

"Chris Ruh came to my home to look at the concrete work I thought I might need in the curb area in front of my house. Firstly, Chris is very patient and very personable. He proceeded to thoroughly examine and measure the area. He took his time to discuss how work could be done. The work would be quite an expense. Most importantly, Chris discussed with us whether the work was really needed and whether it would be worth the cost to get only a slight benefit, if any, from the work. We felt we had received excellent advice from a very experienced gentleman and decided against having the work done. "I had a complete driveway replacement with two asphalt layers completed on 8/15/2018. I am on a hill with a basement garage which required that the paving had to be contoured precisely to direct water with respect to the downhill approach to the garage, driveway drain, adjacent retaining walls, etc. As I write this it is pouring outside and I am able to see that the runoff is exactly what it needs to be to direct the water in the right directions. The entire drive surface is completely smooth and the edges are straight and hand tamped. I selected the three contractors who quoted this job based on comments and ratings from this site. Surface Pro's quote was not the lowest I received, but I got what I paid for so I am very satisfied with my choice. Prior to accepting his bid I obtained and viewed the work done for three of their recent references who had similar work done in the Pataskala and New Albany areas and was able to confirm the quality of their work. The work was done in a professional and timely manner."

"Mark and his office manager Anne were great. Mark was very detailed with what the entire process would entail and thoroughly answered all of my questions. I received quotes A-1 Concrete, Ohio Basement Authority, and Mark Rogers Construction and am very glad that I went with Mark. I have already recommended them to several friends who are looking to have the same, or similar, work done. Pictures are after garage (before), Day 1, and then what it looks like now. In the "before" picture, you can see how damaged the apron is, as well as the cracking and sinking inside the garage."

"Ron, the owner gave us an estimate and called with a proposed date to complete the project.  He did not ask for any deposit and said we could pay him when we were satisfied with the job.  On the first day they removed the old patio using a bobcat with a hydraulic hammer.  I told him that I didn't want the yard damaged so he said that he would bring the bobcat in the yard only one time and he kept his word.  The bobcat didn't do any damage.  They hauled the broken concrete through the garage utility door using a wheelbarrow.. The next day they formed the new patio and verified with my wife that they design was satisfactory.  Due to the extreme heat they decided to pour the concrete the following morning to assure a quality result.  The next day they poured the concrete using wheelbarrows.  After the concrete partially dried they applied a powder and used stamp pads and formed the design in the concrete.  Stamping concrete is a very messy job and the powder is very dusty.  The following day they came back to clean and seal the stamped concrete.  I was impressed with their knowledge of the business, their attention to detail (not damaging my yard) and their willingness to work in extreme heat.  . They were also careful to clean the house, driveway and the area at the end of each day and upon completion of the job.   "
