"We received an initial quote from Harris & Co. based on a recommendation from a coworker to replace a backyard deck with a stone patio. I received three quotes from various contractors. Harris's quote was the most expensive but I went with Joshua Harris's company anyway for the following reasons: * Joshua had a complete treatment that included landscaping (which ultimately I did not do), pavers, lowering of the ground, demolition, fire pit, and seating wall. * They were responsive, using text and email and replying promptly. * Joshua Harris had a better vision for the project than I did! He envisioned a wall, lighting, making the patio extremely large (due to the limited space in the backyard, he thought that leaving a bit of grass would be pretty pointless). Ultimately, it was the completeness of the vision that drew me to use his service. Since he does landscaping, lighting, and tons of stuff, Joshua will give you a pretty complete treatment. This costs you. I think that you get what you pay for, but it's something to keep in mind. If you have a budget, keep your discipline and see what aspects that you can go without! That all said, we went all out for this project and added a long wall, accent pavers, a large fire pit, and lighting. This was an extremely expensive project for us, but it's been worth it as the end result is rather beautiful and makes the space much more usable. Before, we wouldn't even leave out the back door because the deck was so small and the yard was so dreary, but the large 28' stone patio makes the space inviting and easy to walk across, even when we're not entertaining. As for the work, I was impressed by the amount of communication that was provided. They contacted me almost every day to let me know if they were going to arrive to work and informed me if circumstances (usually rain, sometimes illness) affected the schedule. Joshua was overall very professional. There were occasionally circumstances though that affected what could be done at any point - for example a certain model of lamp I requested wasn't available, so I had to get a different one; in another case one of the bulbs burned out and I had to reach out to get it replaced. The final thing is that Joshua follows through. The mulch for the back was delayed due to an inventory issue and I hadn't heard from him after the work for a number of weeks, but then he called me when the items came back in and scheduled the follow-up. The point is: if you need something from him, don't be afraid to reach out. The work was quite costly but I think that you get what you pay for and when you go with Harris & Co., you get a lot."

"Northeast Tree is great to work with....from the time on site to provide an estimate, answering all my questions patiently; clear expectations set for their lead time and scheduling; keeping commitments to complete the job so it would not conflict with another project on the property and the quality of the job. These trees were located in a position that required care to cross a manicured lawn and retain the existing landscape around them....immaculate job. This is not our first time using them and we pan to hire them again for additional work in the fall. Professional from beginning to end. "M & M had recently paved a driveway for a new home up the street and we thought it was exceptionally well done. While the price was not the lowest of the estimates we had, we knew the quality of the work and wanted them to do the job. The project was completed in about a half a day. It was a well orchestrated process with an obviously experienced crew. Neighbors even commented on how the crew and equipment were so well coordinated. We had to have one very minor repair done and one of the crew and the Mike (owner) came a few days later to take care of it. Mike was great to work with and we would definitely use M & M Landscaping and Paving again."

"I have used Sakonnet Lawn Care for well over 10 years for both lawn mowing services and garden maintenance. I have always been pleased with the work they do; they are <strong>prompt, reliable, and extremely courteous.</strong> It is not unusual for neighbors or strangers to come to my door inquiring "who does your yard?"  Several of those people now use SLC to maintain their properties. Whenever the "garden team" is here, we always talk about the work to be done, what I'd like accomplished and also what they might recommend. After a horribly windy storm the previous day, one of the workers commented on the cottage weather vane which had come loose and was tilting to one side. He asked if he could take a look at it and the next thing I knew, he was bolting the loosened plate down; four years later, it has stayed in place!"

"<p>Originially contacted at the beginning of August, it took a few rescheduling times to finally get yard cleanup done  due to company's request/personal problems.  Communication was a problem as I was not receiving answers to questions until several days later.  Once owner did reply, things were agreed on relatively quick.  I wanted to have yard area re-landscaped and was promised a graphic presentation but never received it after a month. I used owners friend (consult for plants since owner was more familiar with lawns) to obtain shrubs/plants/flowers and he helped me put them in.  I have not heard from this company since then.</p> <p>Owner did mention that this was not an area he normally serviced but he did have a couple of companies he was mowing the lawn for.  I should have picked up on that cue.  Nice son and father company but not able/willing to provide services agreed upon (weekly mowing/fertilizing/shrub care).</p> <br />"

"Evan and Jeff Debuc were amazing. From a technical standpoint, they identified and ordered all the components, inched a digging machine down a treacherous hill, dug up the old cesspool, dealt with another one that was hidden nearby, installed the new tank, piped it up to the dispersion field (which they created in a day) and kept us calm every step of the way. Given the choice of doing this project with some other contractor or selling the house, we would have sold. These guys are wonderful."
