"Rob & his crew from CRP Contractors did a fantastic job in replacing my wind/hail damaged roof as well as installing new gutters/downspouts. The estimate was fair & affordable. Rob was upfront & honest throughout the entire process and was always willing & able to answer any of my questions in a timely fashion. They completed the entire roof in one day & then took care of the gutters right after. They also did an amazing job on the clean up, leaving absolutely nothing behind. I would definitely use CRP Contractors again & would heavily recommend them to anyone in need of roofing/gutter/siding services!"

"They completed a complete roof teardown and putting new shingles on in a single day.  Over the weekend more high velocity wind hit the area and they came out the next day to check and make sure everything stayed in place.  They did everything without requiring any money upfront to start or complete the work.  R&R Roofing is a true roofing company that not only does the work, they did it correctly without cutting corners to meet the insurance quote.  They also kept me informed with everything that was going on.  Truly a professional company and a great company to work with."

"The technician was on time and professional. He climbed up on the roof and examined it. He reported that there was no damages, but a couple of shingles needed repair. He repaired the loose shingles for no charge This service gave me great confidence in the firm. I would use them in the future."

"An absolutely outstanding experience with our roof installation. A hard working, professional crew, respectful of our property and committed to excellence. The on-site supervisor kept us appraised of the progress being made and texted pictures documenting the work completed and in progress. Cannot recommended RCV more strongly. . "

"They handled everything with the adjustor for our insurance company.  Everything was handled in a timely manner.  Ron was great to work with.  We had no issues with the quality of their work.  They also worked around my scheduling and pricing with them was very good.  Their estimate was the best our of several we received.  I love my roof and their clean-up was perfect.  They are the only company I would use."

"He did an excellent job. Very detailed, particular, and trustworthy. My roof pitch is so steep that the insurance company had to send an adjuster from Florida to do an assessment. Some roofing companies looked at the Google maps specks and said they couldn't help me. Purcell Roofing not only was able to do the job, they did an excellent job considering the circumstances. He also did a thorough job of cleaning up afterwards. My roof is beautiful. I couldn't be more pleased."

"The quality of the roof was good. There were mishaps in the gutter design and the gutters they installed were not capable of effectively handling the water flow, so the gutters had to be redesigned. The project manager was not as responsive as we would have liked. I was not going to use them again but they replaced the project manager and I ended up using them again on another job and had a completely different experience."

"We had a very large project of roofing, siding and gutters replaced on our house, garage & shed. and all was handled in a very timely matter going beyond what was quoted with fixing some unseen damages without the extra cost to us. Dealing with the people was a great experience from our first call to the office to get an estimator out to the project manager and the crews doing the job. Work was professional done correctly with everything cleaned up nice at completion. No complaints at all on our experience"

"The shelter installation itself went great. We are happy with the product. <br /> BUT........the installation crew destroyed my neighbor's brick mailbox enclosure and did not even tell us or my neighbor that it occured. I have been trying to get someone with Ground Zero to return my calls for over a week now. NO RESPONSE from either a message left with a person who answered the phone at the main number and no response from an email sent to the contact on the Ground Zero home page. <br /> I will not recommend this company unless they do the right thing and repair / replace the property to its original condition to the satisfaction of my neighbor! <br /> <br />"

FAQs for roofing installation & roof repair projects in Norman, IN

An average Cape Cod roof-raising project requires approximately two to three months from start to finish. The timeline depends on several variables, including weather conditions, contractor availability, material delivery schedules, and the specific complexity of your home's structure. The process involves multiple phases, including demolition, framing, roofing, window installation, and interior finishing. Working with an experienced contractor who provides a detailed timeline can help set realistic expectations for the project duration.

While most Cape Cod homes can accommodate roof-raising modifications, each house requires individual structural assessment. Older homes may need foundation reinforcement or wall strengthening before supporting additional weight. Factors like the existing roof framing system, load-bearing wall placement, and overall structural integrity all influence feasibility. A qualified structural engineer should evaluate your specific property before proceeding with design plans. Additionally, local zoning ordinances may restrict maximum building height or architectural modifications in certain neighborhoods.

Temporary relocation is highly recommended during a Cape Cod roof raising project. The construction process involves removing portions of your existing roof, exposing interior spaces to potential weather damage, and creating significant noise and dust. Most homeowners find temporary accommodations for the two to three-month construction period, with relocation costs ranging from $2,000 to $6,000, depending on your housing choices. If staying with family or friends isn't possible, budget for short-term rental or extended-stay hotel expenses as part of your overall project cost.

Consider roof raising when you experience severely limited headroom throughout the second floor, find yourself constantly stooping under sloped ceilings, or have minimal usable floor space due to low ceiling heights. Other indicators include inadequate natural light, poor ventilation, and difficulty accommodating standard furniture in upstairs rooms. Simple renovations can improve an attic's appearance, but cannot create additional headroom without structural modifications. A complete roof-raising project makes more sense than cosmetic renovations if you're seeking genuine second-floor living space rather than just storage improvements.

Begin your search by seeking contractors with specific experience in Cape Cod structural modifications and dormer additions. Request detailed portfolios showing similar completed projects and ask for references from previous clients with comparable work. Verify that potential contractors hold appropriate licenses and insurance coverage and understand local building codes relevant to roof raising. Interview multiple candidates, comparing price quotes and their communication style, project approach, and proposed timeline. The ideal contractor should demonstrate a thorough understanding of Cape Cod architectural characteristics and structural requirements.
