"Carter was very responsive the communication was important because I was not in the area when he did the job. He sent pictures and found another area of concern asking if I wanted that repaired. I was thankful he found it and repaired that section as well. I would absolutely highly recommend Carter. His pricing was very good."

"Everything went very well. Ron has a small team that he works with to complete his jobs. He was on-site nearly every day and completed the majority of the work with Dan, someone who has been working with Ron for nearly 10 years. After they removed the deck, we had siding missing. Dan has many years of experience with siding and did a great job of replacing the missing siding (after matching the old siding color at Home Depot and painting the new siding, it is difficult to distinguish the new siding from the old). Their attention to detail was wonderful. Whenever it came to a design question or how to lay out the pavers, they made sure to check with us before proceeding. They also were careful and proactive in protecting our new driveway, fixing any soil that got damaged by their equipment, and cleaning up after their work. The concrete slab is a beauty. Ron placed large stones on the two sides of the shed base that cut into the hill, and it looks great. This is one of the nicest shed bases I’ve seen. I would work with Ron again – no hesitation! He was punctual, communicated well, and worked closely with us to ensure the patio was what we wanted. After hiring Ron to do this work, I was happy by the uniformly positive feedback I heard from others who have worked with him (e.g., workers at Sensenig's where we purchased the pavers). Although his operation is small (there are no fancy brochures or sweet-talking salespeople), it is nice knowing that you will get the “A-Team” if you hire Ron because he has only 1 team and he is on it. He also does not have much of a web presence as he relies primarily on word of mouth. In total, we paid $33,900 for this work and are happy with this price and our finished product."

"Mike Healy of Celtic Excavation was wonderful to work with. He was patient, thorough and accommodated all the curve balls that the City of Rochester threw at us doing a construction I had to do for the house due to the 2017 Wind Storm. It was sheer delight working with him and I'm glad my neighbor introduced us."

"Andreassi Masonry expertly repaired a very badly damaged walkway extending from the sidewalk to our front door. The work was exceptional, particularly because the crew--obviously very skilled!--raised and leveled sections of the walkway that had sunk an inch or two into the ground, so that the entire walkway is now perfectly even. The cost was very fair (at the completion of the work I attempted to pay a little more, but my offer was declined.) My wife and I can affirm from many years of home ownership that Andreassi Masonry's work is excellent in every way!!"

"They'll come out even more than once. It's as many times as they needed to make sure that the driveway stays clear. They come at 7 o'clock in the morning rather than 8 o'clock when we already have to be out. They come in time for us to leave. They do the driveway before we have to leave. They're reliable and they're knowledgeable. We've had other people for lawn mowing and half of the time, they didn't show up before they charged."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in North-Greece, NY

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
