"We hired Juan and his crew to remove upwards of six trees varying in size and remove dead branches from a few other trees. Juan was extremely responsive and helpful. We have pretty high expectations and were very happy with the work that was performed."

"My call was returned an hour later and the same day appointment was scheduled. Chuck arrived promptly and he was very knowledgeable. He offered 2 options to fix the problem and the replacement with the latest spring system was decided. Chuck did a great job and the garage floor was clean after the installation. We used Green T service twice so far and the experience was great. We highly recommend this company for your home service needs."

"Ray Knoll returned my call promptly and gave me a quote within the week.
The property had not had much done to the landscape since it was built in the late 60s. There were numerous overgrown and unhealthy plantings, the lawn and soils had been compacted by the construction of an addition to the house and deck.  I needed a FULL service landscaper to level and upgrade the property as well as create outdoor living space. This was a much bigger job than I could do.
Time to call in the Professional.
The yard has a multilevel home built into a slope and backs up to a golf course. My initial idea was to place a 40' retaining wall  with a walkway that came from the front of the house at an extension of the driveway and connect to my elderly father's patio. That side of the yard had a fairly steep grade and was essentially unusable, except for mowing more grass. I wanted a retaining wall to level that side so I could have a fruit and vegetable garden. This must also alleviate some of the flooding that my neighbors incurred during major storms after the addition was built. From my father's patio there was to be another retaining wall, steps and a short walkway to a patio with a fire pit and a bench wall.
In the front I wanted a small retaining wall to hold the original brick walkway in place since the front yard also sloped. I asked Ray to recommend a better street view. He suggested adding some stone outcropping and to replant a dogwood. I had just the spot for it. There were large overgrown yews and an enormous mugo pine that needed to be pulled. Both the bricked driveway and the front walk were in disrepair. All hardscape was laid on paver base and leveling sand with proper pitch and drainage. Existing brick was to be reused when possible, power washed and sealed along with all the new hardscape.
Ray and and I sat down and picked out the materials and plantings I wanted to fit my budget and formed a basic plan.  Jose' and his crew tweaked the original plan to suit a rather difficult areas. The communication was excellent so there were no surprises. I now have a fabulous outdoor living area that I can enjoy. The value of the property is greater as is my enjoyment of it.  I receive compliments daily.
I cannot say enough a what a fabulous team Knoll Landscaping is and how easy they are to work with. They are incredibly hard working, positive, flexible, but uncompromising when it comes to quality of workmanship."

FAQs for trees & shrubs treat, protect and maintain projects in North Aurora, IL

A tree doctor or tree surgeon is another term for an arborist. The term is more common in places like the United Kingdom. They are professionals trained to plant, care for, maintain, diagnose, and remove trees of all kinds. Tree doctors have specialized knowledge to ensure the health and safety of trees.

Arborists are tree care specialists who plan, maintain, and enhance the health of trees with expert precision. They prune, diagnose diseases, treat pest infestations, remove hazardous limbs, and manage debris cleanup while developing comprehensive landscaping plans. They also handle tree planting and work with landscape professionals to ensure long-term tree vitality and safety.

Consulting arborists are tree experts who can advise homeowners and business owners on the right trees to plant, how to care for existing trees, and what to do about trees that appear to be sick or pose a safety threat. A consulting arborist may work with local landscape architects, investment property owners, city governments, developers, and other arborists.

An arborist may be able to save a dying tree. If you notice that your tree suddenly appears to be sick or is exhibiting unusual behavior, contact an arborist immediately. They will thoroughly inspect the tree to determine what might be wrong with it—and will let you know if it’s possible to save the tree and how to do it.

Verifying an arborist’s credentials is crucial for reliable tree care. Arborists must be licensed by their state and hold certifications from reputable organizations such as the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA). Request proof of licensing and certification, and review local recommendations to ensure you are hiring a professional who meets high industry standards and adheres to strict safety protocols.
