"We had the aging cement board siding on our house painted with dark grey. We had a very large area to paint. Single thick coat looks real good. Workers first washed house down. After drying, all trim abutting cement board was sealed. Then several workers banged out house painting in 1 1/2 days. I was amazed at how quick they worked with diligence. a few days later a couple workers returned to paint the front door (no extra cost). They also recoated paint on the the columns and painted trim boards around the front porch without us asking. Work was very professional and thorough. The price was very reasonable and the payment schedule was broken down in manner agreeable for both us and PLJ. "Leo was recommended to me in my search to replace a large 70 ft x 6 ft retaining wall and fence, which surround a swimming pool. He was the most reasonably priced bid, and once we got the permit approved, which required engineering plans, it took one week to demolish the old wall and put up a beautiful Ideal Block wall. Since the patio was half torn up due to the demolition, he asked if I wanted to redo the patio. It was more money than I planned, and he allowed me to pay over specified time frame. He added a small retaining wall 3 ft x 7 ft and did a walkway from the gate to the driveway matching the patio perfectly. He completed all the work in three weeks, passed inspection and we have a beautiful oasis."

"Neil is a rare find in the world of landscaping contractors. Home advisor connected us after we found ourselves in a nightmare situation - with a 4 day paved walkway installation project stretching into its 5th month - and our (seemingly nice and personable) mason continuously promising to come yet never showing up with (his life slipping and sliding from one heart-wrenching emergency to the next on a regular basis)... spring, summer and fall went by like this with a dug up muddy yard with the masons tools scattered around the piles of rock and dirt that was supposed to be our kids playground, and sand occupying what should have been our driveway, stacked pavers killing whatever grass was remaining in our garden... so we were ready to hire someone to finish up this project before the ground freeze (while feeling guilty about sacking our mason with all those unfortunate disasters in his life)... When Neil arrived (on time!) for a quote he immediately pointed out the botched design and issues we are going to run into, and how he would remediate it the best he can at this late stage. However, the very next day our mason showed up and continues with the project and Neils quote only arriving the day after - which was pretty much for the amount we still owed our mason... Sadly, we did not have the guts to fire our mason (though every cell in our body wanted to do that), though Neil pointed out this pattern occuring quite frequently in the contracting business... Then our mason decided not to compact the walkway after the polymeric sand application, which was a bit alarming - so we reached out to Neil for a second opinion, and he responded quickly that indeed that was going to be a bad idea, and that we should not pay him anymore. Within two days Neils other predictions come true in front of our eyes - the mortar edging crumbling, sidewalk edge right on a steep slope without any measure to stop erosion and its crumbling after the first heavy rain... we were kicking ourselves for letting our mason come back and ruin the project beyond repair... once we can afford it, we know who to hire for redoing this whole project... all I can say you cannot go wrong with Neil, and count your blessings for finding him before anyone else! Competent, experienced, fairly priced, responsive, deeply decent with excellent communication and integrity... wish we had found him sooner!"
