"We had a concrete slab poured for a 8’x12’ shed. Al was very responsive and they were able to get the job done quickly, which was very nice since we had a target date to complete our project. Very fair price and they did all the dirt backfill and leveling. I came home from work and Al was even sweeping our driveway! Great work and I’d highly recommend them."

"I was amazed by how quickly the job was completed. Employees were very polite and personable. The best part was they left the area clean and were respectful of the property not involved in the job. I love my new driveway."

"S & M were very punctual about estimating and scheduling the work. When I started talking to them about why the steps needed replacement and what they could do to keep it from happening again - He already had a plan to overcome the sinking issue. <br /> The craftsmanship of the layout of the walk was exactly as I asked for and work was excellent. <br /> There was a little concrete slop left in the driveway which dried and was never cleaned off - however I did not contact them to come and fix it.  I am sure they woild have. I would highly recommend them for any work of this sort. <br />"

"Price quoted was lower than the others to perform the exact same work. They arrived when they said they would, they cleaned at the end of each day and thoroughly after the last day. We have a large roof and it took 5 days. The only issue we have is not with Iossi directly. The company that delivered the supplies cracked our driveway and we were told by that company that they will fix it but after a couple of phone calls we still have a cracked driveway ."

"I had Cutter construction replace my old 12 x 14 cedar wood deck with a Trex capped composite deck (same size), as I had grown tired of stripping and staining it every 2 years. I had done research on capped composite decks and found out they were pretty reliable now. They were able to reuse the old pressure treated deck framing as it was still in decent shape, and I had them replace the deck floor boards, all the railing, the stairs, and fascia boards with Trex Transcend floor boards, picture framing, composite shells over the existing rail posts, Trex Signature aluminum railing and balusters with a cocktail rail, and new stairs. I also had them put pavers at the end of the stairs as I had problems with my old deck stairs directly contacting the ground, and didn’t want that happening again. They did a really nice job with the picture framing which also helps protect the fascia boards as the picture frame overhangs the fascia boards. The framing they added to put the picture frame floor board on also looked to be done very well. I had them use the hidden fastener system for attaching the deck floor boards and that really makes it look sharp. Mike was very aware of problems decks can have if they are not done correctly , which my old deck had where the flashing between it and the house was not correctly installed causing significant water damage to the walls contacting the deck, not to mention causing a carpenter ant infestation in the wall. It got to the point I finally had to have that water damaged wall repaired the prior year for some $3500 by Service Master 380 (who did a very nice job). Cutter construction is a certified Trex Pro installer which I wanted as Trex will guarantee their work meets all the requirements their warranty calls out for the warranty to be valid. Cutter also sends in the warranty registration for you. Cutter’s estimate was the middle of the 3 estimates I got. I went with Cutter due it being a certified Trex Pro installer, having installed many decks, and due to the numerous discussions I had with Mike Cutter prior to them even giving me an estimate or me giving them the job. The final invoice was about $170 more than the estimate due to some minor changes along the way. As any issues came up Mike would contact me to discuss them. They were able to fit me in their busy schedule and got my deck done when they said they would. I also liked that they used saw horses to hold their material to keep from killing the grass. I am very pleased with the job they did and look forward to minimal deck maintenance from here on out."

"I contacted the owner, John for an estimate and he came over the very next day to give me a bid.  I got 6 bids and he was the only one who did a drawing and was one of 2 that gave me what I consider a formal written bid.  I asked  to enlarge my porch and John explained from an engineering perspective why that was not a good idea which I appreciated because he could have just done it and charged me more.  I also appreciated that he was trying to work with me and we were able to salvage part of my stairs and the approach to my driveway which lowered my overall cost.    I felt his bid was very reasonable and was in line with 3 other bids for the job.  He also noticed part of the approach where a corner was broke and added that to the bid as well to fix.  John asked for 1/2 payment which I did not have at the moment and he accepted 1/3 payment until I got the rest.  Within a few days I had the rest and John scheduled the crew to start.  Juan and his crew came on Sat am and tore out the porch and prepared the molds for the porch.  The crew returned on Monday and tore out the driveway and prepped for pouring on Tuesday as well as poured the porch and retaining wall.  <br /> On Tuesday, when I noticed that part of the retaining wall was not poured  as John had drawn on the quote, Juan took care of it right away and had his crew build the mold for that part as well.  That same day, the rest of the retaining wall and driveway was poured.  The crew was very efficient and seemed to work well together.  When part of my brick came out near the retaining wall, the crew fixed that for me as well.  They refinished my steps and sealed the driveway and I believe they actually refinished my approach because it looks shiny like the refinished porch.  They crew was very polite and courteous and you could tell they took pride in their work.  I was also impressed with how well they cleaned up the work space after finishing."

FAQs for concrete driveways & floors installation projects in Coralville, IA

Polished concrete floors offer many benefits with very few drawbacks. While issues like discoloration, stains, or imprints may occur during pouring, these are rare when working with a skilled flooring contractor. Once polished, concrete floors are easy to maintain, long-lasting, and eco-friendly. They also resist mold and moisture, making them ideal for allergy-prone households, and offer versatile design options for both indoor and outdoor use.

Polished concrete flooring is often more affordable than tile. It involves lower material costs and less labor-intensive installation. Tile installations require additional leveling and preparation, which increases labor costs. Opting for concrete flooring helps reduce upfront expenses and provides a durable, stylish finish that saves money over time with minimal maintenance.

While epoxy flooring offers enhanced durability and toughness compared to polished concrete, it comes with higher material and labor costs. If budget is a top priority, polished concrete floors provide a resilient and attractive finish without the premium price tag, making them an ideal choice for value and long-term performance.

Polished concrete floors last 20 years or more when installed by licensed professionals and maintained with proper care. Their enduring finish withstands heavy use and remains visually impressive for decades. Regular deep cleaning and maintenance help safeguard the floor’s integrity, providing homeowners with a long-lasting, cost‐effective solution that endures daily wear without compromising style.

Polished concrete floors increase home value by offering a modern, sleek appearance and exceptional durability. A professionally installed floor not only enhances visual appeal but also minimizes maintenance expenses, making the property more attractive to prospective buyers. This flooring upgrade delivers a refined look while boosting overall market competitiveness and long-term property value.
