"I received a very quick response to my quote request. Vacman was able to fit me in right away to come investigate my issue. He did a thorough inspection, and then told me what was needed, and had pictures from under my house to show me why. He was able to complete the installation that same day. They checked in with me every step of the way, from showing me the outside vent cover and choosing a color, to making sure that the washer and dryer were left in a position I was happy with. They were very polite and professional, and the materials they used seemed to be very high quality. I am pleased with the work, and would hire Vacman again."

"Overpriced! 5 hours spent at our house over 2 days. I didn’t see an itemized list of charges until the receipt after payment. Original estimate was over $2400! I removed items I knew our electrician could do for less. Estimate still $1800, but I thought I’d be happy with the quality. When I received the itemized receipt afterward, I noticed they charged $189 to repair the porch railing. This was minor repair - requiring 1-2 nails in 2 areas total. Buying an air powered nail gun costs less than $189. And they only fixed 1 of the 2 areas, so they didn’t even complete the task. The power washing done before painting the railing was minimal and suboptimal. I immediately contacted Mr. Handyman and was told that my questions would be reviewed. Silence. I’ve had an electrician come to our house- 8 hours of work including the 2 things that I removed from the Handyman list. Their work was more extensive (8 tasks), total charge $650. I’m blown away by how overpriced Mr Handyman is! Beware"

"RUN!!! It was a nightmare. If I could give them negative stars, I would. He charged me twice what he said he would, the plumbing was all installed two feet off plans then the concrete needed to be jackhammered up and replaced after the plumbing was moved. The waste pipe was installed 2 feet above the ground, 18 inches away from the existing pipe to hook into. The driveway was poured in the winter with no salt, broke off the top layer and had to be jackhammered up and replaced and then he tried to make it 3 foot shorter. The garage door was to be insulated, it wasn't so they bought a cheap kit and put that in. The garage floor is already leaning because it was poured over black dirt instead of sand. The backhoe operator dug up my water main because no one called 811. NOW, my new ceiling is ruined because the siding was installed over a huge crack in the roofline where the building adjoined. The roofers put a ton of trash in the gutters and had to be called back. He is a hack!!!"

"In 2014, Bales installed the wrong size furnace in our new construction house. Fast forward to 2022, and many repairs later, we were still looking for an answer as to how so many things can go wrong with basically a new Temp Star furnace. In a last effort, we went to other contractors and found that Bales had installed the wrong size furnace for the duct work and the furnace was basically starving itself. I am not sure which makes me angrier, the fact that the entire install was incorrect, the fact that they took my money to repair the furnace and never noticed this over many years, or the fact that they never got back with my wife in a timely manner after they found out they made a huge mistake. I was told that the owner was going to talk to his brother about this and they would get back. It has been 6 weeks, and no phone calls have been returned. It is my hope that you will avoid this very expensive situation that we had to be in due to this situation not being rectified by this contractor."
