In addition to the main problem, I had a number of small things I wanted advice/estimates on in an old house with quirky updates over the years and he took care of several of them quickly during the walk-through for no specific extra charges (including disconnecting some outlets and circuits that were made obsolete in a previous re-model and never removed from the main panel). The main problem turned out to be a non-problem, which was a relief, but he was patient with me to sort out that my new space heater was drawing so much power and demonstrated the difference of power draw on the circuit with using and it and not using it. He also gave some advice on the aging and not-quite-to-modern code main disconnect switch and sent me a prompt estimate for resolving it."

"In-home generator which came with the house. They rolled a truck for a flat fee - no problem. The issue was the unit was out of oil (had no idea - no manual came with the unit). They had a crew of 4 guys standing around looking at the unit for 30 mins and ended up charged me twice as much as the truck fee just to replace some oil. I wont be hiring them again. If they were "forgiving" of such a simple mistake, I would have agreed to a service contract. Too bad."
