He replaced a bulkhead door, an interior door between the basement and bulkhead, and an exterior storm door, all with odd shapes and sizes in a 19th century colonial that required a little ingenuity and a couple of trips to the hardware store. He's also quick to offer suggestions on other things he can help with: not in a pushy way, just pointing out the kinds of services he would be able to provide in other areas of carpentry and masonry. "Bertie came out to look at the gate on a Wednesday night. He pointed out that he could also replace some wooden pickets on the fence which I needed to have done but didn't think about asking him as getting the gate repaired was more important. He came out on Friday morning and repaired the gate and replaced pickets as well as secure a section of fencing. He did a great job. Bertie was very polite and punctual. He kept in contact with me the entire time. I would definitely hire Bertie again and I highly recommend him."

"Juan refinished my teak patio table and 6 chairs which had been badly neglected. I wasn't sure they could be brought back to life. But Juan restored the patio set beautifully, at a very fair price. This was not an easy job - the chairs backs were slatted and difficult to sand. The before and after pictures show the outstanding job he did, including some minor repairs to the chairs. "Mark is the best finish carpenter I have ever hired. He built a beautiful wood balance for my living room window. Trimmed out in gorgeous moldings and painted to perfection. It was better than I had ever imagined and we always get compliments on that piece of original, handcrafted work. He also did some other work in the house as well- took down a wall and reconfigured two rooms to build a closet. It was perfect. Mark also refinished a hitch in my mothers home which looks spectacular. Would hire Mark for any job in the house. Easy to deal with and professional."
