"The team at Chicago Painters was great from start to finish. They were very communicative, and helped diagnose what exactly needed to be done in order to properly assess the project and do a great job. We had a wallpaper disaster in the nursery/bedroom and the walls were not in great shape to be painted. Chicago Painters were meticulous in repairing the affected walls and the attention to detail on the paint job was terrific. It was a huge load off our back as we prep for our upcoming newborn. Thank you for your help!"

Small jobs welcome

"The project was to paint exterior trim, replace rotted trim in some spots, and replace 3 gable vents. I was very pleased with their promptness, hard work and quality. Would definitely use them again for other services and would highly recommend getting a quote from them for your project."

"Working with JHR was a very smooth process. I had a leak in my ceiling and plumbers came out to cut a hole in the ceiling and repair the pipe. I sent Juan a photo of the hole in drywall via email, and they sent back a quote within a few hours. Their quote was in a professional format, and was the cheapest of the 3 quotes I received. I ended up hiring them and Rogelio came out on a Saturday to complete the work. The final product was beautiful, and it looked like there was never a hole there in the first place. They also repainted the ceiling which now looks way better than it did before! I will definitely be hiring them for future repair projects and painting (which is their specialty)."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional Craftsmanship and Professionalism – Highly Recommend! We recently hired KJC Remodeling, Inc., for a series of home renovation projects, and the team absolutely exceeded our expectations. From the very beginning, they were professional, communicative, and clearly dedicated to delivering high-quality work. They tackled a wide variety of tasks in our home, and every single one was done perfectly. The drywall installation was flawless, leaving us with incredibly smooth walls and no visible seams. They also custom-built beautiful new window sills that completely elevated the look of our rooms. The interior painting was crisp, clean, and done with great care for our floors and furniture. On top of all this, they handled our kitchen updates brilliantly, and modernizing the space."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Norwood-Park, IL

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
