"Steve arrived on time from Pennsylvania, even though the weather was very foggy that day. He analyzed the work to be done and I said the closest store for parts was Home Depot. I explained that Lowes installed the door in 2004. I took a picture and went to them first for repairs but they said they don't repair doors. However, they recommended Angie's List for a handy man and to use treated wood or PVC material for door framing. Steve returned with a door frame kit. He said the material was wood but seemed unsure if it was treated. He repaired the frame which took 4 and 1/4 hours and he allowed me to use a $25 coupon. The caulk had to dry before we could close the door. When dry, I tried to close and lock it with a key using my body weight to push hard but it would not close. I opened the main garage door and was able to pull hard and lock it from the inside. I called and he came back the next day. I was unsure if I was being charged $124 per hour for him to fix it correctly and I was honestly afraid to ask. He didn't say but either way I knew it had to be done. After two hours I told him I had to get back to work. I asked how long would he be? He told me he wanted to make sure it was done right and to my satisfaction. I told him to call me if he needed me and left him to finish. He already had my credit card info if needed and I asked my tenant to try the key in the lock when he was done. I came back on my lunchbreak a couple hours later. The frame was fixed, he cleaned up the area and he was gone. My tenant said the key worked great and there was no other charge."

"Great! They did an absolutely fantastic job. They were very thorough and conscientious, going the extra mile to make sure that the door was installed properly. They communicated well as the project moved along and I truly appreciated that. I’m very pleased with the outcome and would definitely hire them again."

"My experience has exceeded my expectations. After a prompt response to my bid for a project, Noel reviewed the needs and started the next morning. He provided great counsel, solutions and completed the project in one day. We also had a faulty front door handle that he fixed without us asking. I would highly recommend FAMB Construction and we look forward to working with them again. - D. Smith, Bowie,MD."

"I've done a lot of renovations since the 80s, working with contractors good and not so. Hands-down the best by far has been Willie Ratliff and his company All Things New LLC, recently converting a garage to an office / studio. He, his crew, and all subcontractors did exceptional work, clearly enjoying doing a good job and taking pride in it. Willie himself is an excellent listener, always open to questions, suggestions, and reasonable changes, gives solid advice. He really wants a happy customer. He and all of his crew were professional, personable, and easy to have around, and the problems that arise in any project were handled quickly and gracefully. My wife and I actually missed having them here after they finished. When the work started, they were on it five days a week, showing up punctually and staying with it through the day: no other jobs interfered. Then they cleaned up really well every day. I also like that they use high quality tools and know how to operate them. The project was completed very close to schedule, running only one day over, and the cost was exactly as shown on the estimates. All changes made during the project were noted and recorded on the day they happened, and all invoices and receipts were emailed punctually. All money dealings were straightforward and negotiated in good faith without anything odd. Willie Ratliff is an ethical man. He and all of his workers are skilled, friendly, polite, fun and hard-working...truly exceeding expectations. As long as I'm living in or near Baltimore, I will hire no one else."

"Took literally months to complete repair even though it was a pre-paid deal. I had to call over and over and over."

"The repair man came in and was very knowledgeable about the garage door and gave me a very fair price on a new one . he installed it and it worked perfectly. I would definitely recommend him to my friends ."

"We had them install all the roofing and other hardware for a full Tesla solar roof. Once that project was going, we also had them do 5 outer window/door projects for us. All went well and we're happy we had them do everything!"

"Rob was courteous, pleasant and professional. They did a spotless cleaning job. He showed us pictures of the inside of the chimney from the boiler where the old terracotta lining was crumbling and starting to block the exhaust. Right on time 2 days later and put in a new stainless steel liner. In the afternoon I asked what was taking so long he said that the first liner they put in got a tear so they took it out and put it a new one, guaranteed for life.. I was blown away. Nobody would have noticed. I was blown away by the integrity. The brickwork needs replacing but I already arranged that for after the winter. He asked me a few questions and told me that the guy sounded like he knew what he was doing. Again, you can't buy this kind of work ethic anymore His partner Vinny was very knowledgeable in fireplace mechanics and gave my wife, pretty good at fireplaces herself, some excellent advice. One of my best experiences with home repair folk. And free cleaning next year."

"I was out of the office, but one of my staff called me and said that when she turned on the front office light (overhead ceiling fan/light) it started sparking. I got on Angie's List, found Bayside Electric, called them and they were in the office that morning and repaired the damaged lighting. Quick response, fixed what needed fixing, and at a fair price. Would definitely use again."
