"I hired Rich to install an insert in my Chimney for a pellet stove hook up which was completed for $2600. While he was there, he pointed out that my front porch which was brick was failing which I knew and he quoted me approximately $4000 for bluestone and Beach stone. About six months later, Rich sent a subcontractor over to do the work and he spent three days doing nothing. After the third day I told Rich the work wasn't getting done. He came over and couldn't believe he was paying his guy $500 a day and nothing was done. Rich told me he fired him and would finish the job himself. Once Rich started the work, I told him numerous times to make sure the pitch flowed away from the house since it pooled and flowed towards the house. Mid-way through, just with my eye I could see the pitch was towards the house. I put water and a level on it and showed him the pitch was wrong. I paid for half the job and promised to pay in full once fixed with a contract. No response after that."
