As is the nature of repairs like this, a lot of damage cannot be identified from the ground during the estimate process; the damage is only seen once the job has already begun. Garry was very faithful to notify me and ask my approval when he judged that repairs other than those in the estimate were appropriate, and he modified the quote after these extra repairs were authorized. Garry was considerate about my timing and about occasional other situations at the house while he worked. Regarding the billing, Garry showed receipts of all his material costs and charged no markup on material. All labor was billed at the same prices as offered in the estimate, and I was allowed plenty of time to verify that we agreed on the price before the final payment (which was after the job, he did not ask any money up front). Garry's immediate prices are not the cheapest in town, and he will say this to you up front, but he performed everything in a way to maximize the longevity of the repairs, saving money and hassle in the long run. All in all, I had a good experience with Garry and would hire him again."
