Within a day or so we had his bid. After signing the contract, we drove to Opelika to select appliances and then to Birmingham to select the granite. We also went to Sherwin Williams to select our paint colors. </p> <p>Holland acted as general contractor and coordinated the work among the employees and subcontractors used on the project. Everything was done professionally with almost no problems. Demo on the first day included removing the countertops and all of the appliances. We talked them into leaving the fridge for a few extra days. "Years of exposure to the sun had taken a toll on the wooden siding on the ends of the house.  I contacted JR's Landscaping and Mr. Hicks came and gave me an estimate.  We agreed and he began work.  As stated above he removed the original siding, by this I mean he not only took the old siding down, but took it away.  He replaced it and primed the wood as well.  On the West end he also  did some repair to the roof.  The work was done in the time agreed and to my satisfaction."
