"I went through half a dozen of landscaping contractors before selecting Taveraâ s Custom Landscaping for my new house in Lake Forest, California. (1) Beside his reasonable and competitive quote, (2) Mr. Tavera listened, stayed focused and provided design ideas/suggestions relevant to what my needs and wants rather than off-the-wall expensive fancy designs that other contractors usually pitch. (3) He kept the job good progress throughout the project, his people showed up to work every day. (4) He was easy to work with; during the project, I had few changes of heart, wanted to make some changes to the original plan, he was accommodating. (5) I will hire him again for my future projects and happy to recommend him to my friends"

"Really? So, you took the last of my payment due and threw these cheap plastic lights in my yard never connected them, and never came back? It was not my fault that you were 2 weeks late from completing the job and had to go back and readjust the retaining wall because your crewman built it crooked and you were upset because I wanted it done correctly so you and your crewman had to fix it and you still did not do it correctly. But I will say they are very polite until he received my money he did not want to complete the job my other electrical box was not installed he ignored my called and never answered and that was is but its okay... lesson learned: Never Give ALL The Money Until The Job Is Complete. Thanks For Nothing!"

"We were impressed from the very first day when Mario showed up—it was clear that he was reliable. He was sincere and thorough with the pricing. Although we were surprised when he asked us to pay extra for the dirt and requested it halfway through the job, we discussed it, and he agreed to settle the matter fairly. Mario consistently followed through on what he said he would do. He did a great job—especially considering that my business partner, Sarah, is extremely precise and particular when it comes to details and quality. For potential clients, I recommend clearly outlining the payment terms, who will provide the dirt, the type of concrete (PSI), whether fiber/rebar will be included, and the cleanup expectations. All of this should be clearly spelled out in the contract. Mario handwrites everything, which is fine—his handwriting is actually very neat. I’ve read some of the other reviews, and I agree—it’s hard to find honest contractors these days. Yes, I highly recommend Mario."
