"Avoid This Contractor ? Sloppy Work, Poor Communication, and No Accountability We hired Usat Homes (was Built Blocks Construction when we hired them) in October for a bathroom remodel, paying a premium price expecting high-quality work. Unfortunately, the results have been nothing short of a disaster. Craftsmanship Issues: Tiles were cut with jagged edges. - Doors were left half-painted. - Paint trimming was messy and unprofessional. - The flooring is already lifting in parts of the bathroom. - The grout in the shower has cracked five times since they "finished" the job in December. Project Management Failures: - Incorrect measurements on the bathtub delayed the project by a full month. - Their so-called "interior designer" refused to visit the house to take proper measurements, causing even more issues. - They tore down a wall claiming there was a leak?only to admit later there was nothing wrong. Instead of an apology, they told me they did me a "favor" by rebuilding it."
