"Michael and his team have completed two projects for us: turning a window into an exterior door, and installing new flooring (after removing old carpeting). From our very first interaction, Michael impressed us. There was no phone tag, and he arrived early by a few minutes to every meeting and work day. He is personable and explains project details clearly. His team's work was quick, efficient, and high-quality. His estimates were accurate, though the door installation did go over due to some rotted flooring, which couldn't have been discovered until midway through the project. The overage was fair and clearly explained. Michael was onsite with his crew, and they finished up with a thorough clean and removal of work debris. "We did not go with them, because what he was going to charge us for refinishing the floor I did myself for a fraction of the cost. What they primarily do is they do a lot of commercial properties, so he had a few examples for us of floors that he did at SMUSA and he actually told us to go check them out. He had done three different glosses or finishes and so what we were looking to do in our basement it was not really what we wanted, so that was the big thing. It was kind of tough to get him to come out because what he said on the phone was primarily what he does is commercial. He was very informative and answered all of the questions. He gave us examples of what to go look at. He was very helpful. I think their price was fair. Their price for the actual finishing was good, knowing what I had to go through to strip the floor to do that. What I mean is, it was a good price but just not what we wanted. The estimate and the amount of time he spent there, and the information he was able to give us was extremely helpful."
