"11/04/18 I am changing this review. One of the things they did was cut off the bottom of the sliding door so it would slide easier. The work was done in August. I didn't notice until fall / winter, there was no weather striping and the wind was blowing in, actually snow was blowing in. I had to have a new sliding door installed which I did 2/22/18. I never did hear back from them about the balances for the double-hung windows. Very prompt service. I contacted them Tuesday, August 22, 2017, the sliding door was repaired the following Monday. Alex explained the repair (it needed a new track) and why it was needed. The double hung window needs new balances, Alex is checking into the part. I was very happy with their work and will recommend them to anyone who needs a sliding door repaired. I had contacted 3 other companies. One said it couldn't be fixed, buy a new door; one didn't respond; and one was to busy to handle the repair now. I am thankful Sliding Door Repair Service was able to help me. They did such an excellent job!"

"They did a great job replacing and securing old drywall in our garage. They installed an electrical outlet which works perfectly but his suggestion, to make it easier, was to use BX which is not code in the area. Luckily I knew that because my parents would have gone with it unknowingly. I definitely wouldn’t hire them for carpentry work. We had a prehung front entry door put in and screen door reinstalled. We ended up having to have someone else come out and redo the job because they installed it so out of square that you could see daylight and the screen door wouldn’t close unless you pushed it with all your weight. They didn’t replace the interior trim or the piece of flooring they pulled out. They did a good job installing the peephole, mail slot and handle. Would recommend for small jobs but nothing too involved. Definitely not electric or carpentry."

"I have worked with Handy Men and Mrs. Helper on several previous occasions for repairs around my home. This project entailed the renovation of my kitchen and two bathrooms. The work done included the removal and replacement of cabinets and vanities in the kitchen and bathrooms, the removal and installation of light fixtures, the removal and installation of toilets, required electrical work and plumbing work needed to install light fixtures and plumbing fixtures, and dry walling and painting of each of the rooms involved. This did not include the purchase of appliances, fixtures, cabinets, or countertops. I cannot tell you how much I appreciated the work done by Handymen and Mrs. Helper (HMMH). Andy, President of the company and Project Manager, and his “Band of Merry Men” (and women) included Anne, the Office Manager; Ginger, the Designer; Rein, the drywall and paint aficionado; and Scott, the carpenter/electrician/plumber extraordinaire. The entire team worked to make a very unsettling project as pleasant as possible. I was told who would be coming to work at my home and when they would be there. Some work was even done on Saturdays so that the project could continue moving along. They were professional, competent, courteous, accommodating, and just all around wonderful to work with. HMMH always provides very knowledgeable, qualified people to do the work and that makes a big difference in the end result. I made some errors in my selection of kitchen cabinets, and they rolled with the punches when I delayed the project by two weeks in order to get replacement cabinets. I highly recommend Handymen and Mrs. Helper for any repairs or renovations you might have. They are the best. I already have them working on another project and have a third in mind for later this summer."
