They were extremely thorough, making sure I understood what was going on and what repairs needed to be made, but also, they were up front about the timeline on getting repairs completed. I'm so grateful that these guys came out, just for an estimate, yet they took the time to REALLY investigate and find out that what I thought was a simple breaker replacement was actually something much more serious! The main breaker panel was illegal and needed to be completely replaced, as well as the original wiring was done incorrectly which led to melted parts and black soot all over the backside of the breakers, and single marks/soot on the wiring as well. Bottom line, the house was actually a serious fire hazard. "Mister Sparky reps came to the house to provide a quote for wiring a portable generator to my house main breaker panel. They were on time and professional and seemed to know what they were doing. I did not hire them because the quote of $2900.00 (sub-panel) or $2400.00 (generator lock-out kit) for this work and switching out 5 circuit breakers was to high in my opinion. I am hiring another company that is listed on this website that was much less."
