"We really like working with Ian. He was able to work with us on what we needed. Just wanted to replace a 50-year old electric panel that was not safe for our new house and bump up to a 200-amp service. Not we needed 200-amps, but it is nice for any expansion or future projects we may have. HIs team was quick and took care of everything. Even contacted the township for permitting. And the township even came by a week later to upgrade the service line to the house to accommodate the 200-amp service. Feel like we are in a much safer house now! Appreciate IEC and will call them for any additional or service needs! (old panel on left - new on right!)"

"I have been having trouble with my outdoor electricity for years and have been through a couple electricians. This was the first year I was able to keep all my Christmas lights shining in over a decade. He also installed a new light fixture in the basement storage area that is perfect, fixed two outdoor outlets, and was amazingly prompt. And - when I explained the I keep forgetting how to reset my breakers, he patiently explained the instructions while I filmed him with my iPhone - now I'll never forget. An absolute pleasure to do business with."

"Working with Tom and James, Brian, Nick, and Tom was a pleasure! Tom came to my house, masked (due to COVID19) and sold me the window. His price was very reasonable and within the realms of other quotations I had received. The time frame he set for the installation was within days of the actual work being done. His workmen were fast, (window was installed in 2 hrs!) extremely courteous, and Clean!!!! I am VERY pleased with my new window! I would Highly recommend this company."

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Palmyra, PA

Because installing coax outlets involves working around existing electrical wiring and confirming proper grounding, many homeowners prefer to hire a licensed electrician. A professional completes the work safely, secures the line behind the wall, and ensures the installation meets local code, which reduces the risk of damage or future repairs.

You still need a coaxial outlet for most cable-based internet services. The modem draws its signal from a cable line that terminates at a dedicated wall jack. Once the modem is online, your Wi-Fi router can broadcast the signal throughout the home, so the outlet’s location doesn’t affect wireless performance. If an existing jack is damaged or in an inconvenient spot, an electrician can move it or install a new one to maintain a strong, reliable connection.

Coaxial cable loses signal strength the farther it runs. A 50-foot length introduces noticeable loss, and a 100-foot stretch can drop the signal by roughly 30%. A weaker signal can result in a fuzzy picture or slower internet speeds. To maintain high performance, limit cable length whenever possible, select the correct cable grade, and route it efficiently. If your layout demands an exceptionally long run, an electrician can install an inline amplifier to boost the signal and maintain picture or data quality.
