"Brian did a great job. I had a window leaking inside the house. No amount of self repair was able to fix it. Brian figured out that the real cause wasn't this window, but the window above it. He pulled off the siding and you could see the water stains all the way down to the first floor window where I was seeing the leak. He was able to get it all taken apart and repaired in a day. Very prompt and accommodating. Absolutely would hire again."

"Jim was absolutely phenomenal! He did our entire concrete patio in the backyard and continued it down the side to the front of the home. He and his crew we’re kind, hard-working, meticulous, and very thorough. He does great work for an amazing price as well! We will also be using him again in the future when we redo our driveway to tie it altogether. I highly recommend! Thank you Jim!"

"We have used Secure Seal, Scott Drummond, in the past to seal an asphalt driveway. The owner is very neat, leaving no sealant on the stone walls abutting the driveway. Easy to deal with. Will use him again."

"We are very pleased with our kitchen remodel. Amy Nathan guided us through the process. She made excellent suggestions while paying attention to every detail. The sub contractors did excellent work and they were extremely courteous. Mark Taylor facilitated the progress and kept us well informed every step of the way. All the work was done on time with minimal inconvenience. McClurg lived up to their reputation for high quality work and excellent customer satisfaction. We recommend McClurg without reservation."

"See review 2015 for part one of story. I found I stilled worried about water in the basement crawl space even though there was a big improvement with the 2015 fixes. So I called Tim again and talked about options. Since the full size part of the basement didn't seem to have any water problems we left that alone and concentrated on the crawl space. His crew punched holes along the bottom of the walls to let water flow out. They draped the holes to direct the water flow into a pipe that took the water to the sump pump. They sprayed the walls to kill any mold that had formed and draped them with a material that made them look better. They also covered the pipe with concrete. The crew was wonderful, Brandon in particular. They worked hard in very uncomfortable circumstances (hard pebbly floor surface, 3 ft height, and huge spiders). At the same time, they sprayed foam into the space between the rafters along the outside of the wall (no more huge spiders) to insulate. To prevent future problems they reinforced my back basement wall to prevent the horizontal crack at the freeze line from becoming bigger. I am thrilled with the results. Besides the bonus of being spider free, I have no water in my crawl space, ever. I can hear the sump pump working nonstop during heavy rains and big snow melts. I didn't know I had bought in a high water table area and that basement water was a common problem in the area. You sure can't tell by my basement any more."

"John came out to our home and gave us an estimate within a half hour of our initial phone call. I had checked around, and the price he bid seemed reasonable. His crew started work the very next morning, ripping out the old floor, disposing of it, and prepping the ground for the new floor. They also stabilized and repositioned a couple of places where the walls had started to bulge out. They poured the concrete on Day 2, and on Day 3, came back and cut the expansion joints. John kept us appraised of the work throughout Days 1 and 2. The crew was hardworking, respectful, and skilled. I would not use anyone else for future concrete work. The only downside was that our asphalt driveway did take a little bit of a hit from the weight of the concrete truck. Alas."

"They were totally very nice to work with. I had no problems. They gave quality work and they worked very hard. They were prompt and on time. They did exactly what they said they would do and in some instances they did quite a bit more. I was very happy with them. I paid $2,500 to resurface the old driveway and the other driveway was $3,000. I would absolutely use them again."

FAQs for concrete flatwork repair & resurface projects in Parish, NY

When evaluating whether patching can address your concrete blemishes, it’s important to assess the extent of the damage. Minor issues such as small cracks or chipped areas may be effectively repaired with patching techniques that restore the surface’s appearance. However, if you notice widespread deterioration, significant cracks, or structural weakening, resurfacing is recommended as a more durable, long‑term solution. A thorough evaluation by a concrete specialist can help determine the best course of action for restoring your concrete to its optimal condition.

The optimal time to resurface your concrete driveway is late spring. This period benefits from warm temperatures and softened ground conditions following winter’s freeze‑thaw cycles, ensuring that the new overlay bonds securely and matures to a durable finish. Resurfacing at this time also enhances your property's safety and curb appeal. Engage a concrete professional to schedule your project during this ideal season.
