Since the replacement unit was the same model, the electrician (Dan) quickly realized he could simply replace the innards, and then proceeded to replace all six wall lights. "Our outside light fixture would cause a new 10 year CFL or LED bulb to burnout. This happened with several new bulbs and we thought this might be a sign of a short or other wiring problems. We called Farryn Electric and the office scheduler, Shelly, was very helpful in expending a service visit. They sent out 2 electricians who promptly concluded that the CFL and LED light bulbs were not compatible with our fixture which had dimmer, timing and dawn to dusk features. They reset the fixture as it had been left by a prior owner in a "test" setting. They were very friendly and understanding considering the the problem was caused by our use of the wrong type of light bulbs. Shelly called later that day and said there would be no charge for the visit which we felt was very generous of them. We had never used Farryn before this as they were recommended by a neighbor.
