"For both jobs, we received good advice on paint choices and then accurate estimates. The work was completed with care and attention to detail. The highest recommendation I can provide is that the team treated our home as if it were their own."

Back of house completed.
Ceiling was painted black to hide duct work, pipes and wires. Concrete floors painted to hide that it was once an old basement.

Small jobs welcome

"Lance & Michelie were absolutely amazing. They got everything done on my list in record time, were friendly, efficient, helpful and extremely professional. I would hire them again and again for any project! They painted doors, put together furniture, hung photos, large mirrors, installed shades and curtain rods! Items that would have taken me days. I’m very grateful I found them. 5 Stars+"

"I hired Jev Jesjunins as general contractor/project manager to renovate and rebuild a mid-1950’s ranch home in Portland which had not been updated since initial construction. During the process we discovered many unanticipated problems from leaking pipes and leaking basement walls to seemingly unending roadblocks with the City's building department. All issues were resolved in a highly professional and efficient manner. In addition to managing the project and working with subcontractors, Jev’s company was directly involved in rough and finished carpentry, sheetrock hanging/finishing, windows/doors installation, insulation, building the garage and mudroom, front porch, and back deck. His company also handled gutters installation; interior and exterior painting and various handyman projects. Jev was also a great partner in questions of design. I would like to emphasize the great result of my new three bathrooms (there was originally only one). They are pieces of art. Jev's crew which includes a designer, plumbers, electricians, cabinet makers, and tile installers created outstanding looking bathrooms with lots of unique fixtures - steam/shower cabin, jacuzzi, heated floors, smart toilets, unique selection of floor and wall tiles, closets, and shelving."

Unique idea to brighten a small bedroom- glass wall to the master bathroom

"My husband and I can't sing the praises enough of Jason and his
sidekick, Blake. We had a tremendous job for them, painting our entire
home's interior plus a three-car garage, in preparation for putting it
on the market. We're talking thousands of square feet of wall and trim
space!  We didn't know what colors to use that would be best for a house on the market, and Jason came up with great suggestions. The guys started painting halfway through August and worked on weekends and
even Labor Day until the job was finished. They completed on time, as
promised, and the work was extraordinarily neat and concise. We definitely got our hard-earned money's worth. During the
first week or two, we were still living in the home. It was fun having
them around as both guys were always cheerful and professional. If we were a B&B, they would have been very welcome guests - as long as they painted their rooms before they left!
They often checked in to make sure we were happy with the work, and to make sure they hadn't misses anything. We believe their superlative paint job is one of the reasons why our house went under contract in just two short weeks, full asking price!  Although we are in a much smaller home now, we look forward to having JGPainting come help us with a couple miniature projects this winter. A million thank-yous to Jason and Blake!

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Parsonsfield, ME

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
