"The Estimate: <br /> When Dan came out for an estimate, he told me that I could probably handle seeding/fertilizing my small front and back yards by myself.  But he gave me a price if I wanted him to do it anyway.  His price for putting down gravel on the side yard was lower than an estimate I had gotten previously, so I hired him for both jobs.  He also happily answered my numerous novice lawn/yard questions. <br /> The Work: <br /> Dan came and seeded/fertilized the front and back yards on the agreed upon date. <br /> The day before the gravel work was scheduled Dan e-mailed to let me know that his workers would be arriving late the next day due to another job.  I appreciated the heads-up.  The day after the majority of the gravel was installed Dan came by himself to finish up the side yard. <br /> In the contract I signed with him, it said that the company would put down more seed if the lawn was still patchy/bare after 2 weeks of watering for 15 minutes each day.  I diligently watered the lawn for the 2 weeks and noticed some bare patches but wasn't sure if it warranted a callback for more seed.  Well, Dan took the initiative and added more seed to my lawn after he had finished up the gravel work on the side yard.  And finally, he answered still more of my lawn/yard questions. <br /> I was very happy with his service and am a very satisfied customer.  I would definitely hire him again for future landscape jobs. <br />"

"Co. previously removed fallen tree from the yard.  We  wanted to plant a new tree for the shade.  After 30 years of benign neglect the back yard was more weed then grass and we opted to have the old in both the front and back ripped out and sod laid.  Job was estimated that the cost would be between 6 - 7000.00 & take 2 1/2 days & was spot on.  Because of prior excellent work we did not get other estimates so work might have been cheaper with another company but the finished work is beautiful.  They showed up when they said they would start & finished within the estimated time.  And the new yard looks beautiful.   After spending the money and the terrific job they did they will be doing the lawn maintenance and mowing .  Recommend them highly.  Worth every penny "

I had several nationally advertized group before, and found them to be costly, unprofessional (applying fertilizer in February) and basically out to just get every dollar rather than caring for the lawn properly. "They are very good. They leave me a note on what going on, especially the girl that does it. She is superb. As far as lawn care is concerned and clean up, it varies. They have done it a couple of times this year already. They take care of bug control and grubs and all of that. It's sort of like they have a yearly scheduled. They just do it and they leave me a bill and I pay it. They do pest control, but I don?t use them for that. It?s usually about $120 a treatment. I used to pay ahead and save 10%. I would rather to be in control every month of the charges. I pre-pay. They are excellent all the way through. They are here when they say, they mark the lawn, they do a nice job. They check up. They offer other services, I just don't use them. They have snow plowing, outdoor pest control. I just use it for the lawn. Great, they've been great, no problems. They warn me to stay off of it. What I like is there's are a lot of pets around this area and they warn them too. That the ground has been fertilized or whatever."
