"This review is in reference to the SOD install by JMJ Landscaping:
JMJ's scope of the work included everything above except irrigation.  JMJ set themselves apart from the rest as they offered to scrape-up the existing lawn instead of spray chemicals to kill the lawn.  Having dogs, we were concerned about the chemicals and the week-long period the dogs would have to remain off the grounds due to the chemicals.  With JMJ's proposal, our dogs could roam the grounds at any time.
We're extremely satisfied with JMJ.  We got to know the owner, Jason, and several key employees, Nilo, Darius, Gil and Wayne, as if they were family.  They were courteous, thorough, neat, diligent and knowledgeable.  They listened to our needs and offered their expert opinions.
It's been over a month now since project completion.  Our lawn is looking beautiful!"

"Overall I am very pleased and would use them again and also recommend to my friends. During the estimate and consulation, Joe was very focused on providing exactly want we wanted. He spent a lot of time with me and my mother discussing the exact look that we wanted. He also took the time to explain the recommended pruning and other care. We were specific that we didn't want the tree line elevated too high but that we wanted the deadwood removed as well as the broken branches. Joe also recommended that we selectively prune a few branches to make sure that wind could flow through the trees. This seemed like a good idea and we agreed. On the day of the work Joe carefully reviewed the details with the crew. During the work the crew was attentive to our questions and was interested in making us happy. The two large trees were pruned extremely well and to our specific request. The crew did a really nice job in finding and removing all deadwood and the broken branches. They also trimmed our hedge for no charge. It may apppear that we paid a lot for the work but it took the crew about 5-6 hours to complete all the work (there was a lot) and do a good job. Joe made a thorough inspection of the completed work and personally performed additional work to further aerate the ground around the trees."

"It went ok.  I don't recall all the specifics because it's been approximately 8 -9 months.  I do remember they got in touch with me quickly but then did not follow up when they said they would.  I also asked for some warning as to when they may come because I wanted to make sure I had time to cut my lawn.  They let me know the day before the scheduled day.  And then didn't come till the next.  I thought it just seemed like an ok job.  I thought the seeding was sparse and the plugs did not look that big.  My lawn did not look any better last fall or this spring.
