"The work was good, thorough, looks good on the work, but paints started chipping off on the chimney about a year and a half ago and a little over a year ago in 2019, the blue paint on the French door was bubbling up."

"I am very pleased we found Marioni painting. The price was competitive, they were very flexible with scheduling, and showed up on time. They painted a small bedroom, closet doors, trim and ceilings in ½ day. They had clean lines & were tidy workers not a single paint drip on my floors."

Small jobs welcome

"We have double ornate wood doors that were really damaged over 25+ years. I was worried that the finish was so worn away that the doors would swell and we would have difficulty using them. I called Boss Citca and received a prompt reply and estimate. We are completely thrilled with the work that was done! Angel and Marie took off the finish down to the raw wood (a huge job), removed all of the brass hardware, then restained and polyurethaned them. The stain we chose with Angel’s help is beautiful; the match is perfect. The doors now look brand new! I cannot say enough good things about the high level of expertise and the dedicated work effort involved. This was a seamless, successful job! I would like to stress that Boss Circa is such an absolute pleasure to deal with. They are professional and extremely skilled. I looked through some photos of prior work and I will definitely call Boss Circa back for any and all home projects; they do all kinds of construction, kitchen rehabs, etc"

"Bilevel home consisting of three bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, and stairwell with landing. Removed popcorn ceiling, skim coated ceiling and painted 2 coats on ceiling, walls, doors and trim. Moved large pieces of furniture as necessary to complete work. Excellent communication. Coordinated job with homeowner. Protected house items such as carpets, floors, ductwork, kitchen cabinets, etc from debris dust and paint-splatter as necessary. I have worked with many contractors in the past and this was one of the best. Highly recommend and would hire again."

"My project of installing a new large AC wall unit was completed very timely and well and with good cleanup afterwards. My house is from 1829 and the old AC worked for 28 years. Since it was so hot when it broke, I really appreciated that he showed up very quickly and that the new AC arrived faster than expected, too. This was a life saver kind of project for sure!"

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Passyunk, PA

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
