"Ivan and his team were great to work with and he was very straight forward with what was needed, the costs, and expected timing to complete. I would absolutely work with Ivan and his team again. He took into consideration future home upgrade needs while sizing the panel and did not upsell or recommend unnecessary work. The work to connect the new outdoor panel/new wiring to the existing old panel/wiring was very tricky with the work being done in tight spaces. The new wiring (panel and new stove) was installed neatly and organized throughout the crawlspace allowing for easier future home rewiring work to be completed."

"They arrived on time. They listened to me as I prioritized the tasks and described my budget for the project. They helped me save money my showing me a way to use the lighting fixture I had instead of buying a new one. They did the work within the allotted time. They were professional and courteous."

"I had an excellent experience with Mr. Electric. My technician, Elijah did a phenomenal job explaining the usual electrical issues that can occur and made sure I fully understood what was going on. He was very thorough, asked thoughtful questions, and provided clear options to resolve the issue. He was prepared to complete the work as soon as I approved the pricing, which I found to be very reasonable. I was especially impressed with his customer service skills. He was professional, knowledgeable, and confident in presenting additional service options without being pushy. I would absolutely call Mr. Electric again and would 100% request the same technician for future service. Highly recommend!"

"They did good work, but you feel scammed by the process. Waived dispatch fee provides pressure to sign up for discounted rates with 1 year Advantage Plan. They priced whole house surge protection as an add on. I bought but I'd not planned on it. Next time, I'll try to find a small business that just quotes the job at hand and does it without all the upselling. "

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Paw Creek, NC

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
