"Called their main number and spoke with Ty for scheduling. It was easy! He was courteous and friendly and explained all costs associated with their services. I called back a few days later to reschedule and he was very understanding to accommodate to our needs. Ty said the technicians would be at my home between 8 and 830AM. They showed up within that time frame! A+ for customer service! <br /> Cliff and Brandon showed up, introduced themselves to me, put on their shoe protectors and got straight to work. During the process they explained what they were doing and also engaged in personal conversations with me that I had initiated. Both the guys were very friendly and professional and direct to the point. About halfway through their process one of the technicians was opening the heat exchangers on my furnace and found an issue with it. He told me right away and also demonstrated how he had done the process to show me that it was equipment failure and not too much elbow grease.  <br /> After finishing, the techs gave me an after action review on what they found and all charges were explained. A complete bill was written out (with a 10% discount!!!) and pre-addressed envelope with a postage stamp to send them their questionnaire and payment. Very convenient and smart!  <br /> Overall, I can't say enough good about the service that was provided today and will refer anyone who needs this work done to B&F Power Vac.  <br /> Good job guys!!! <br /> Paul and Katherine <br />"

"Cabinetry - A, Drywall - D, Electrical - D - had to call an actual certified electrician with another company to repair their work, tile floors - D, new light fixtures - C - one not working 4 months later. <br /> <br /> I would use them again in the future for cabinets, but not for electrical, floor tiling or drywall work."

"Like most contractors in the area, they are usually busy (they don't keep a squad of repairmen, installers in a back room waiting to be called out) When they are available they are capable of very fine work at reasonable prices. My gas line install is nearly invisible and used only the highest quality materials, even impressed the building inspector. The furnace and AC install went great, the house is now efficiently (and inexpensively) cooled and heated, the crumbling 80 year old chimney is beautifully repaired. These guys do a good job and their prices are comparable to others. <br />"

"The owner helped us with understanding this new ionizer technology and had to be contacted again about placing them in a better place in the HVAC system to increase ion output into the living space.  The ionizers are a bit pricey for such small units.  They help to kill germs in the home and remove new house construction VOCS, but we were disappointed that they did not remove all of the fumes. One email was not returned, but overall we had a good experience."

FAQs for air ducts & vents cleaning service projects in Peck, ID

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) states that air duct cleaning is not required unless visible issues such as mold buildup, rodent droppings, or excessive dust are present. When such conditions exist, cleaning becomes essential to protect indoor air quality and maintain HVAC efficiency. This approach minimizes potential health risks and extends the system’s life.

Air ducts must be cleaned every three to five years as required by NADCA to preserve system efficiency and indoor air quality. The EPA insists that cleaning is necessary only when significant issues such as mold, pest infestations, or heavy dust accumulation are evident. Annual inspections by a certified professional promptly address any emerging concerns.

The ideal seasons for air duct cleaning are spring and fall. Cleaning during these periods prepares your HVAC system for the demands of both winter heating and summer cooling. These seasons provide moderate weather conditions that enable efficient service completion while minimizing disruption, ensuring your system performs at its peak.

Professional air duct cleaning takes a fixed duration of two to five hours, depending on the home’s size and the complexity of the duct system. Smaller residences with standard ductwork complete the service in two hours, while larger homes with extensive ducts require up to five hours. Additional repairs may extend this duration.

To prepare for professional air duct cleaning, ensure all vents are unobstructed by moving nearby furniture and clearing pathways. Secure any pets in a safe area and confirm that your HVAC system units are easily accessible for technician inspection. Proper preparation contributes to a higher quality service outcome and prevents delays, allowing the cleaning process to proceed efficiently.
