"I've used Serenity Movers 5 years ago and I needed to move to a new place in February 2019. I was happy to see Serenity still rated highly on here so I contacted them to schedule a move for 2/22/19. Max was professional when I called to get a quote. The movers arrived earlier than scheduled and I was pleased with that. The movers were professional and organized in packing up the large pieces of furniture since most of them are antiques. When everything was moved to the new apt, nothing was damaged upon inspection. Max called me a week later to follow-up to see how the move went. "The efforts of the movers who packed up my home went well; After speaking to Eli, I opted for the services that grouped my items for an interstate move, that stated items would arrive between 8-10 business days of the earliest move in date; after giving the date, it required several calls to coordinate the actual day. The second set of movers arrived at the appointed time then angled for a tip stating that there was an elevator charge of $300 (would it have been better to use the stairs to a 4th floor apt). Two small incidents with the move in-2 pieces of furniture were damaged, which I filed with the moving company, 3 months later no word on that claim, and, the movers failed to wash their hands after using my bathroom. Going forward, To have better control over the delivery and quality of work of the move effort, on both ends, I found it easier to coordinate the 3 phases of packing, moving and unpacking on my own; and hopefully I will see the funds from the insurance claim."

"From beginning to end, the company was easy to work with.  They were very busy and it took them a week or so to be able to get out and get me an estimate, but I appreciated him telling me that was the case and then showed up as planned a week later.  
The day of the move was fantastic, these guys worked all day with one short break in 95 degrees and 100% humidity.  I was a little wary of the idea of having to rent the trucks ourselves but it was very simple.  Also they gave me an estimate with a 400 range and landed right in the middle of the estimate.   I wish the rest of our moving services worked that simply!
My husband and I have done 10 corporate relocations across the US and none of the moving companies were as detailed, careful with our belongings and hard working as these guys.

"Capital City Movers NYC are exceptional movers! Previously I had never found a moving company that I was overly satisfied with. I had posted in a facebook group and someone recommended them. I was hesitant at first but after speaking with the company I felt much more comfortable using them. They are pleasant to speak with and were very thorough when listing out the item move list. Their prices are also very reasonable. I was then able to modify the list as the move got closer and I had a better idea of what my list was. The day of the move the three movers arrived on time and were very efficient. They were careful with all my items and followed instructions thoroughly. I also thought they had great personalities. The three guys were very tall and very strong. I used foreman Peter and two other guys. I find a lot of moving company movers are miserable. During and after the move the company followed up to make sure the move went well. I would definitely use Capital City Movers NYC again. Thank you guys for everything!"
