"Tom did our property last year….the entire property, from tearing up a poorly done yard by Kay Builders and completely replacing with it new sod, to building us a wonderful stone patio with lighted block seating walls. They also provided all the landscaping, putting dozens of trees and bushes, replaced a poorly done sidewalk and made a new one out of the same stone from our patio. Tom and his crew were timely, communicated with us readily and their work was top notch….so much so that we were literally the talk of our new development. As such, I believe Tom did at least four projects in our new neighborhood as a result of the fantastic work he did with ours Fast forward to this year - two of our tress didn’t last through the winter a medium sized blue spruce and a an arborvitae…. Tom cam out yesterday and replaced them under warranty. Fantastic work, a great, great man who does exactly what he says he’s going to do. We would hire Tom and his crew in a heartbeat. Do so and you won’t be disappointed"

We were especially impressed with how quickly they were available to start the project and how efficiently they completed it. Their team was professional, detail-oriented, and respectful of our property throughout the process. The finished wall looks fantastic and feels incredibly solid. "Chris looked at the area and immediately started drawing and describing ways to make the area into a paver patio. My husband and I were very impressed with his ideas and even more impressed with the end product. Chris recommended our driveway be replaced at the completion of his job and he coordinated both jobs. We are so satisfied with his work that we asked him to come back and do more landscaping this year."

"Excellent work always does a great job at a fair cost. After years not one paver has moved or settled. The base of our patio was done very well much thicker then others I have seen. It's all about the base and prep work to create a long lasting beutiful project."

"The whole crew was really friendly and great about answering any questions I had. As a matter of fact, George's son Danny who was reshaping my insane forsythia hedge actually scalloped it across the bottom when I mentioned that it was taking on that shape, he fine tuned it and it is awesome! I couldn't be more impressed or happier with this job. My neighbors were so impressed that they come over to hire George next!"

"The lawn is now the envy of our neighbors! The crew showed up on time, worked hard, and was very polite. The owner gave us suggestions for other work that could be completed in addition to our original request, but did not pressure us to commit to more than we originally had in mind. He and his crew were very professional, and the results were excellent."

"We have used Plantique for three major (and difficult) projects over the past two years. Each project was very complex (one involved a pool) and we couldn't be happier with the end result as well as the entire experience of working with the Plantique team. From the initial office contact and consult, to clean up and the finished product, the staff and crew were pleasant, accommodating, professional, responsive, and honest. Mike Wimmer was our design consultant both times, and he knew how to troubleshoot and correct any issues while creating an impressive and beautiful design that fit our lifestyle and needs. He is such a great talent and so easy to work with, as was the crew on site. These gentleman were so hard-working and always so gracious. It has been such a pleasure working with Plantique and I look forward to a long relationship with them for all our future landscaping and maintenance needs. I highly recommend them to family, friends, and colleagues, and have recently consulted them to help my parents with a landscaping project. So very, very happy with Plantique!"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Pen Argyl, PA

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
