"Mr. Lewis presented as a very nice guy. It was my understanding that he would get back with us in a couple of days regarding a quote. I checked my email every day for weeks and saw nothing, not even in the spam folder. I tried leaving text messages but upon recently speaking with Mr. Lewis, we discovered it was his office landline that I had left messages with, so obviously the messages were never received. He also indicated that he was waiting to hear from me as to whether or not we wanted to hire him. However, I would not have made a decision to hire him or any contractor without a quote first. I think the entire situation was a miscommunication and also an error on my part for not checking the phone number to see if it was a landline or cell phone. Good lesson for the future to not assume every text message you leave is on a cell phone!
