"I hired the contractor to remove and replace a barbed wire fence between my property and the national forest behind. I told him the problem was with cows pushing thru my fence. I showed him the bench markers for the ends of my property. Unfortunately he extended into both my neighbor's property and one had nothing but complaints about it being done without his permission. He did not care that his fence got repaired at no cost to him, he was mad because it was done without consulting him. In the future I would recommend that the contractor either sticks to the area he was hired to fix OR to contact the neighbors directly and get their permission. The other neighbor did not care as he knew his fence needed to be fixed eventually. "

"Our deck was sinking to the right. When Marlon came to give us an estimate, he knew immediately how he was going to repair it. He removed all the boards from the deck and reinforced it so it is all level now. "

"I was so lucky to find Jordan and Don from Cascade Construction! My husband and I were desperate to have some privacy in our backyard. We were constantly being harrassed by 2 barking dogs that peered behind this old missing slatted chain link fence in our backyard. Jordan came up with this amazing idea of attaching redwood beams and a cedar fence onto our retaining wall. The fence came out so beautiful! He even fixed my other broken fence and added in a couple of fence lights to give the new fence a nice touch! Jordan and Don went above and beyond all of our expectations! Not only that, Jordan bid us a fair price range, made it esthetically pleasing and added in his own personal touches to the fence project. The pride in their work showed! I would definitely recommend Cascade Construction for any of your fencing needs. You will not be disappointed!!:)"

"Scott was great and responsive with providing an estimate, and based on his estimate and the way he treated (really nice and explained a great deal to us) us we decided to use them to install a wood three post fence around a portion of our property. Unfortunately, due to other commitments the company had, it took longer than expected to get the fence installed, but Scott compensated the delay. They were not always the quickest to update us on the delays. In the end, the fence came out great, the crew was friendly and professional and dealt with our kids thousand questions. They followed up after and ensured everything was up to our expectations. I would defiantly use this company in the future. <br />"

"The SD wind did a number on our poorly installed privacy fence - we weren't certain it could be fixed without major replacements & costs & look good afterward. Fence Crafters did a wonderful job of fixing it solidly, recementing many supporting posts, resetting gates, & returniing the lawn to its prior state after all their work. Wonderful job well done."

"He was probably the lowest bidder. It was going to be later in September before he could come and get the fence done. He quoted me $2,000. I didn't choose him because of the time. He had forgotten what I had called him for. He thought that I was going to put up a chain link fence at first. He didn't ask me as many questions as the guy from the other company. That kind of made me wonder what he was going to be doing. He called me back right away and he was right on-time. Actually, I think he was early coming for the appointment. He was the lowest bidder and his price would have been the best. He was very professional. He showed up when he said he was going to show up. I needed to reschedule the appointment and he was very flexible with that so that was nice. I would probably not use him because he didn't seem to ask me some of the questions that after I had other contractors come out; I thought that maybe he should have."

FAQs for wood fence repair projects in Piedmont, SD

The time it takes to install a swimming pool fence varies depending on the project's complexity. A simple installation can be completed in about two hours. However, if your project involves concrete work, regrading, custom installations, or challenging terrain, it could take up to two full days. Each additional factor increases the labor and time needed to ensure your fence meets safety standards.

Yes, installing a lock on your pool gate enhances safety by preventing unauthorized access. A self-closing, self-latching gate with a key-lock mechanism provides strong protection, helping to keep children and pets safe. Securing your pool gate adds an extra layer of security and offers peace of mind when using the pool area.

A pool fence requires a specific height to secure the pool area. In most states, the fence must be 48 inches tall; some regulations require 60 inches for enhanced safety. Checking local building codes guarantees compliance with these height requirements. A taller fence strengthens protection and improves the overall security of your pool area, ensuring it meets stringent safety standards.

Mesh and tempered glass are among the safest pool fencing choices because their design and smooth surfaces make them resistant to climbing attempts. They provide consistent, rigid barriers that prevent unauthorized access to your pool area. These materials ensure optimal safety for children and pets. In addition, incorporating a pool safety net further enhances protection and addresses additional security concerns, ensuring that your pool remains a safe environment for all users.

Pool fencing requirements vary by local, state, and federal regulations. In most states, installing a pool fence is mandatory for safety and insurance purposes. Ask your pool fence pro for local regulations or check with your local planning department to understand the specific height and design requirements for your area. Complying with these regulations ensures legal compliance and enhances safety.
