"Nathan was a joy to work with. He was very helpful with ideas to iinstall new outdoor light fixtures and gave us different options to replace older patio motion sensors which we immediately ordered. He offered to return and install them in a timely fashion. I will definitely recommend Harts Services to my neighbors and friends."

"I was really impressed on a number of levels. These guys are speccialists. They know their stuff and do great work. I instantly wished I had hired them to do my project in the first place rather than using a general landscaping company that does lighting as an add-on. (I knew so little about outdoor lighting that I didn't realize there were specialized companies.) Given that I had already pretty much spent my budget, what really impressed me is NW Outdoor Lighting was willing to work with my situation. Mary understood I needed to "make do" with what I already bought rather than pushing me to replace with stuff I can't afford at the moment. She redesigned with it, giving thought to getting the greatest value from it. When I can afford to upgrade and add to my outdoor lighting, I will definitely be calling Mary. I was also impressed and pleased with Craig's resourcefulness in getting my wires inside my brick columns. I turned out to be pretty tricky and many would have given up and said, "Sorry, lady." With some serious determination, Craig made it happen. Yay! Really made my day."

"Joe came and proposed a plan of lighting for our long driveway, parking areas, and house accents. Joe was honest with his recommendations and didn't try to over sell anything. We were impressed with his plant knowledge, landscape ideas and vision of lighting accents. We approved the design and his team came and installed the lights a week earlier than they had planned so that we would have the lighting for a holiday party! The crew was respectful, easy to work with, neat, and finished their work on time even though a piece of their equipment broke and had to be replaced. It was hard to give an "A" for the price because lighting is not inexpensive to have installed but we got another quote which was higher and Joe had far more expertise. We highly recommend this company, Joe and his crew! <br />"

"This was a wired security system repair. Most security system installers or repair people are focused on getting your monthly monitoring contract and dismiss you if youâ re not looking for that. Quincy did my repair, including the initial problem investigation, without pushing for a monitoring contract. All reasonably priced. I am now able to say goodbye and good riddance to Comcast wireless security, which is predatory. Go Quincy!"

"Igor arrived on time, assessed lighting needs, went to purchase lights, and returned directly to install. The installation is great and we like the new lights. The only comment I have would be that I would have liked the option to go purchase the lights myself, rather than paying electrician rates for the time it took him to go buy them. <br />"

"Jason is an expert pruner - all the plants he worked on looked absolutely beautiful he was finished. (Most of the plants had either been lightly pruned or not at all in 20 years.) He was amazingly fast yet precise, and was also very knowledgeable and friendly. I appreciated him pointing out a rhododendron that I was pruning that had lace bugs on it that I didn't even notice. I would definitely hire In Harmony again for future work. <br />"

"***UPDATE: North East Landscaping reached out to me after this review to discuss my concerns. I met with Lupe, and we had a great conversation. They have already begun to address those concerns, and I have re-hired them for ongoing maintenance for my yard. Thanks, Lupe!*** Hired this company to put in some improved drainage to my yard, build a couple small retaining walls out front, do some top dressing/res-seeding for my lawn, and do bi-weekly yard maintenance. Per their invoice, this includes "Lawn mowing, Edging, Line-trimming, Weed Control, Shrubs/Plants Pruning/Trimming 1-2 per year up to 6' feet, Fertilizing Turf 4-6 per year, Litter removal, Leaves removal, Blowing hardscapes, Disposal off-site all green waste/Debris materials, Leave site Tidy and Clean." Drainage work went well, as did the overall initial yard cleanup. The retaining walls turned out great as well - despite a cable line being left in between blocks of the wall and not routed above it per my explicit request. Also, twice per month, they sent a couple guys out to zip through my lawns on their powered mower, spritz some weed control, and clean things up with the leaf blower. The problems I had were with the state my lawn was left in (and, continues to be in), as well as trying to communicate with the owner (or any other decision maker). On these specific points I would give 2 stars at the absolute best. The first major concern was the fact that they scheduled all the lawn rehab first. They thatched, reseeded, and did the top dressing. I spent a good portion of my early evenings the next couple of weeks watering by hand since I don't have sprinklers. THEN, they came in to do the drainage and retaining wall work, which involved tearing up and even tramping part of the lawn that a bunch of time and effort was just spent trying to rehab, with grass trying to grow back. Wouldn't it have made sense to do that work FIRST, then do the lawn? In addition to new grass being trampled, large portions of the lawn were sopped with essentially gray mud from the stone cutting that was happening for the wall, and there was quite a bit of gravel all over it. I took several pictures that I emailed to the owner, I also called about getting him or some manager to come out and take a look at both this as well as the cable line issue with one retaining wall. I wanted to at least get some assurance that it would be addressed as part of the ongoing maintenance I was paying for. No reply or acknowledgement, even after a few tries via phone and email. The concrete mud eventually dissipated for the most part, but not only do I still have several bald spots in various places around my lawn, the area where the existing lawn was excavated and put back is all just 100% dead. I have basically a bare line right where the drain trench is. After dropping the issue for a while (due to more pressing matters in my life), I brought up the issue again in September. I wanted to have someone with authority come out and let me know what could be done, as well as discuss what might be needed for winter maintenance specifically. With the colder temperatures, I was not sure $230 a month to have them do 30 min of work twice per month was worth it. I contacted the owner via email, who asked me to fill out an online form for an estimate appointment. Probably about an hour before the scheduled appointment, I got a call from the owner. He asked if we could do the estimate over the phone, because he was running late and didn't want to drive to my place. I explained that I was, once again, hoping to have either him or some manager take a look at the state my lawn was in, and let me know what could be done - because it was due to the way in which his team did their work. I explained the state of my lawn. He said he would look up how many sq ft my yard had from their previous notes and send me an estimate. The estimate to fix his own team's work, that in part seems like it ought to have fallen under the umbrella of the monthly maintenance service ('fertilizing turf 4-6 per year') I was already paying for: a full repeat of the top dressing and re-seeding to the tune of just under $2000. When the owner would not respond to repeated requests to look at the work his team did, even when he had an appointment scheduled- the message that sent to me was that I was just not worth his time. That was the last straw. Some of my neighbors were interested in hiring them, but not after this particular experience."

"This is the second big job I've had this company do for me - and I would absolutely hire them again. (They put in a huge paver patio for me last year.) Here's why: You know how there are always things that go wrong on a job? I've hired companies that don't take responsibility for anything once they are "done" with a given job. But Cascadia Outdoor Living Spaces stands behind their work with an honorable commitment to customer satisfaction and quality. They came back a couple of times after the job end date to fix up parts of the fences that weren't quite up to my pretty high standards - with no complaints and a great attitude. If anything goes wrong in the future, either with my patio or my fence, I have no doubt that they would come back to make it right. I should also note that Steve Higa proactively beat out another estimate I had gotten for the new fence, so I had to admire that initiative and drive to get this particular contract! So I would say: Definitely get other bids for comparison, and ask Steve to see if he can do the work for the price you want to pay."
