"Shout out to Chavez Painting & Construction, Ft Washington, MD! Wilian Chavez & his crew did a great job repairing torn drywall and nail pops. They were quick, neat and attentive to detail. They were very careful & respectful of our home, being careful to cover all surfaces and openings to protect from drywall dust and paint. Even vacuumed each day after removing drop cloths and plastic barriers! Highly recommend and have them in mind for future projects."

Small jobs welcome

"Excellent. I also hired him last year to paint the whole interior of my home. For all of your construction needs, you can't beat his prices, his work ethic and his great and personable attitude. I run an animal rescue in the house and some vendors won't work with dogs or cats in the area, but Carey Houser [Houser Construction] was able to navigate the situation. Every dog or cat owner: hire Carey!"

The work was completed efficiently and with great attention to detail, leaving everything clean and beautifully finished. On top of that, their pricing was fair and transparent. I highly recomment Omar General Contracting for anyone looking for quality painting services. "

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Piney-point, MD

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
