"Marion did a very thorough job and was very professional. She pointed out that my blower motor capacitor was weak. I decided to replace it myself. After poking around I found there was another small capacitor connected to the draft inducer motor. I tested it and found it to be even weaker. I will be replacing that as well. She also found a couple other things that needed corrected as well which she did. That was gas inlet pressure was too low and the condesate drain line was partially plugged."

He discovered the prob and fixed it and stayed til he was sure the furnace could run on medium and high. Also he put in my wonderful nest thermostat. Grimes stripped the table and all six chairs, along with the 2 leaves for the table, and refinished everything in a beautiful satin-finish dark cherry. Now, all pieces are identical and we could not be happier with the results. Grimes may not be the least expensive option for refinishing but, they are the best and are very knowledgeable. The craftsmanship was perfection. We could not have purchased a new dining set of this quality for anywhere near what we paid for the work. We love it."

Although it was a 45 minute drive from our home, we felt it might be worth it, and it was. We made an appointment with John via email, arrived at 11:00, and spent just over an hour in his office. He'd given us an estimate on the value of the gold coins via email, and although the price of gold had fluctuated since he'd provided the quote, the final price was very, very close to the initial quote. "I was looking for a handyman. After dealing with a few incompetent guys, I came across Karl Poruben Jr. on Angie’s List. He had great reviews. I called him and discussed how I was looking to install gutter guards at my residence. He was familiar with the product. Next day, he visited the property to see what kind of ladders, tools etc. is needed for the job. We agreed upon a price. As promised, he showed my doorstep bright and early on Monday. It took him a few hours to complete the job. Job was completed with utmost satisfaction. He’s already coming back to work on different projects. Also, I am in the process of sharing his info with others so they can hire him as well. Don’t waste your time by calling others and give this guy a chance, you will not be disappointed."
