"I cannot say enough great things about All Service Moving—and ESPECIALLY Rico and Reyes, who were absolute lifesavers for my last-minute move. After another moving company bailed on me the day before my scheduled move, All Service swooped in and saved the day. Rico and Reyes showed up EARLY, upbeat, and ready to tackle the challenge—even with super heavy furniture that usually requires a 4-person crew. Somehow, the two of them handled everything like pros without a single scratch or ding—on the furniture or either home. What really stood out was how personable, kind, and thoughtful they were. They moved quickly and efficiently, knowing I was paying by the hour, but never once sacrificed care or quality. They were kind to my mom (who was helping me out), and so sweet to my two dogs too. If you’re planning a move, ask for Rico and Reyes by name. They went above and beyond, and I want their team to know what a fantastic job they did. They deserve every bit of recognition. 100% recommend."

"I’ve moved many times in my life, but Safebound Moving & Storage has set the bar high for all future moves. This was a long-distance move from Florida to Buffalo, and I was honestly a bit worried about how everything would turn out. Brett, Hugo, and Chris were assigned to my move, and they were an absolute pleasure to work with. They arrived on time, introduced themselves, and walked me through their plan for the day. They were incredibly organized, and I appreciated how they handled my more fragile items with such care. They packed and loaded everything efficiently, and before I knew it, we were on the road. The delivery at my new place was just as smooth as the packing—everything arrived on time, in perfect condition, and they took the time to place each item exactly where I wanted. They even helped me set up a few things! Safebound exceeded all my expectations, and I won’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone who needs reliable, professional movers."

"We had a large (5600+ SF) house full of "stuff" accumulated over 40+ years, about half of which we donated and half of which we needed to move to Driftwood TX to get closer to all our young'uns. Original plan was to rent a large 24' Budget truck and hire some extra muscle to load/unload on both ends but at the urging of my wife, I contacted 3 top-rated movers on Angie's List to see what a turnkey outsourced job would cost. Having previously undergone several long distance moves, we knew firsthand how difficult and expensive (and sometimes destructive!) they can be, and consequently I wasn’t surprised to see that even the top rated movers on AL had several nightmarish reviews. What shocked me was I found a company with an almost perfect record (e.g., 667 total actual move reviews, 650 of which were “A” rated!), which is unprecedented for a moving company with this many moves. Omar Ayuso answered the phone when I called and couldn’t have been more accommodating, even rearranging some previously scheduled moves to fit us in on our house closing day on very short notice no less (movers actually went down and back in one day). In addition, the costs were well below what we were expecting with absolutely no hidden fees (i.e., simple mileage-based truck transportation charge plus reasonable hourly fee for 2 movers). They did not charge anything extra (e.g., for disassembly/reassembly, wrapping/padding, washer/dryer disconnect/hookup, loading/unloading, etc.). And last but not least, the 2 young men that actually moved us (Carlos and Martin from Belize) were a pleasure to work with and outstanding in every way including most importantly not damaging anything in the process! Needless to say, I have to admit my wife was right yet again and we are both so very thankful that we discovered King Moving!!"

"This moving company offered exceptional service with a four man crew. All of them were friendly and very professional. My crew members were Fredo, Mario, Lalo, and Dre. AI estimated my move would take between 7-8 hours, but this crew of superhumans knocked it out in 5.5 hours without breaking or scratching a thing. They wrapped many of our items to ensure everything was well protected and managed to fit our 4 bedroom (plus office) home in one load in a 26 foot truck! They exceeded our expectations, and I would recommend them to anyone in the area. Best moving experience I’ve ever had by far. Thanks again Big Daddy’s Moving!"

"Very professional and personable. Pleasant to transact with. Sadly was moved to a storage facility because house wasn't available yet. In light of this they gave a small partial refund from original estimate. We had to find someone local to move furniture from storage facility into house at a later date. Heritage Moving & Storage LLC was wonderful and efficient. They removed doors when necessary to get the appliances out and carefully wrapped the furniture to protect it. They packed our TV into a shipping box. They dismantled our outdoor canopy and packed it up. We couldn't have made this move without them. The owner, Larry, came out personally to see my household inventory and to give my estimate. Of the several companies we had inquired to, he was the ONLY one who actually came to the house. All the others only interacted by computer or phone. We were happy to have chosen this moving company and highly recommend them."

"The crew was on time, fast, and did an incredible job. The office crew checked in during the move and followed up after, couldn't be more pleased with the level of professionalism and service. By far the best experience I've had with a moving company."

FAQs for out-of-state moving service projects in Plano, TX

How much money you need to live comfortably in Hawaii varies based on your housing preferences, transportation needs, and lifestyle. Many residents find ways to manage on moderate incomes by choosing less touristy neighborhoods and adapting to local living patterns. Creating a detailed budget that accounts for housing, transportation, groceries, and utilities provides a clearer picture of your specific requirements.

Living in Hawaii on $3,000 monthly is possible with careful budgeting and lifestyle adjustments. Success largely depends on housing costs, which vary significantly between neighborhoods and islands. Many residents find shared living arrangements or smaller accommodations in less expensive areas help manage expenses. Prioritizing necessities, limiting dining out, and embracing local recreational options that don't require significant spending can help stretch your monthly budget while still enjoying island living.

The hidden costs of moving to Hawaii often include unexpected shipping surcharges, agricultural inspection fees, and initial setup expenses. Many newcomers are surprised by delivery access fees for difficult locations, temporary accommodation needs while waiting for household goods, and higher utility deposits. Island-specific expenses like specialized pest control services and humidity-resistant storage solutions may also become necessary. Building a contingency fund of 10 to 15% above your estimated moving budget helps accommodate these unforeseen expenses.

How long it takes to ship household goods to Hawaii depends primarily on your chosen shipping method and departure location. Standard ocean freight often requires three to six weeks from mainland ports, with shared containers sometimes taking longer due to consolidation schedules. Air shipping dramatically reduces transit time to days rather than weeks, but at significantly higher cost. Many residents adopt a hybrid approach, sending essential items by air while allowing bulk possessions to follow by sea.

Whether you need special permits to move to Hawaii depends on the possessions you’re bringing. While American citizens don't need immigration documentation, certain items face strict regulation. Agricultural products, plants, and some animals require special permits or inspection certificates. Vehicle importation requires specific documentation and potential emissions testing. Large shipping containers may need delivery permits in certain residential areas. Consulting with transportation specialists familiar with Hawaii's requirements helps avoid compliance issues.

The items you’re prohibited from shipping to Hawaii include numerous plants, seeds, and fresh produce that might introduce invasive species to the islands' delicate ecosystem. Certain animals face strict prohibition, particularly snakes and other potential invasive species. Hazardous materials, firearms without proper documentation, and controlled substances cannot be shipped. Review current prohibited items lists from shipping companies and Hawaii's Department of Agriculture before packing, as regulations can change, and violations may result in significant penalties.
