"Review is for JD Masonry in Osterville/Marstons Mills MA. Took over 1 year to complete a project that I was told would take 4-6 weeks. Disappeared for months at a time without any communication. Excuse after excuse as to why project was not getting completed. Average to poor work. I need to hire someone else to fix issues he created. He is very responsive however when it comes to asking for payment or discussing the project prior to starting. Worst experience I have ever had with a contractor/mason. Even the address and zip listed for the business do not match."

For walls under four feet tall on relatively flat terrain, you can proceed without engineering services. However, walls exceeding four feet, those on steep slopes, or projects with unusual soil conditions require professional engineering input.
A structural engineer can design appropriate footings and reinforcement to ensure your wall safely handles the lateral soil pressure it will face.
