"This is the second time I have used Stone Craft. The first time was for installing flashing around my chimney after I had a new roof put on. The second time was for pointing and waterproofing. Both jobs were done effectively and professionally. Stonecraft is a excellent company."

"Have used Casey for 20 years so I know him well.  He's built a few retaining walls for us as our house and lot are all on a hill.  One problem I've talked to him about is an area of our lot that is a steep hill that connects our top level grass area with our lower grass field.  As we've been here over 20 years the trees have grown and keep this area in the shade so it has been tough to keep grass on the hill.  That ends up being mostly mud, rocks and weeds.  My wife hates cutting down trees so our options were to again try to grow grass, stone it or terrace it.  The last two are out because I need to get my mower from the top grass to the bottom grass.  Casey came up with the idea of putting in steps along the area that is the biggest problem and leaving a grass strip so I can still run the mower up and down.   <br /> It would have been cheaper to go with wood ties, but we have a few block walls already as well as a set of block steps from our driveway down to our lower parking lot.  So Casey said he'd try to match the existing block features.  He would also seed the more open side and put mulch along the side with all the trees that has the most erosion. <br /> It took 3 days to complete but it came out really nice.  Most of our walls are gray colored block but we have a really old block wall that is beige.  Casey added some beige block to tie that in.  Looks better than I originally envisioned.  Hopefully the grass grows next to the steps, but now the eroded area is covered by the steps and a few feet of mulch on the side by the trees.  Should have done this years ago. <br />"

"We first came to Dan Erb looking to improve the look of our front yard. In addition to surveying the yard, Dan spent time talking with us to learn more about our tastes and what we were looking for. The resulting design was far better than anything we had imagined. Dan's 3-phase design consisted of an enlarged and resurfaced stone driveway, stone steps leading down to a hardscape patio/fire pit area (Belgard pavers) and best of all, a magnificent three tier waterfall that weaves in between the trees and into a waterless pond. The area was then finished off with Rhododendrons, decorative ferns, Lenten roses and several other plants to give it a beautiful, natural woodsy look we love. <br /> Once the project was underway, Dan and his team worked hard and stuck to their schedule, putting in a full day's work each day until the project was completed. While the number of trees in the yard made it difficult to bring in the big earth-moving machines required to complete the project, they took care in navigating the machines so as not to damage the surrounding area. You can tell by the way they worked that they're all highly skilled, experienced professionals that are passionate about their craft. <br /> Thanks to Dan and his team, what was once a drab, ordinary front yard is now one that's truly fit for Better Homes and Garden's magazine. No hyperbole. We've already had several neighbors stop and comment on how beautiful it is (not to mention all the cars that slow to a crawl and check it out when they drive by). <br /> We couldn't be happier with the results or more strongly recommend Dan Erb and his team. The creativity and execution of the design could not have been any better. If you're looking for a truly great landscaper, give Dan a call. <br />"

"After comparing multiple companies we decided to go with timberline land management. Evan showed up on the day and time he said he was going to be there. He not only met but exceeded my expectations of the job, he was very thorough and well priced. Friendly to deal with as well, will definitely be hiring again."

"<strong>useWe were extremely pleased with how friendly everyone was.  No questions.  No complications.  Two gentlemen showed up and asked where the debris was and they immediately jumped in!  They loaded up the truck and drove off with a smile.  It was the easiest part of remodeling our new home.  Thank you, FADE!</strong> <br />"

FAQs for brick and stone patios, walks, and steps installation projects in Pocono Summit, PA

When cleaning your flagstone patio, begin by gently hosing off loose dirt and debris. Use a mild solution of white vinegar and water or diluted dish soap to scrub the surface with a soft-bristled brush. Avoid using abrasive tools, such as wire brushes, as they can damage the stone’s seal and finish. This careful approach effectively removes mold and grime while preserving the natural beauty of your patio.

Flagstone naturally offers a neutral palette that includes shades of grey, black, red, yellow, brown, and tan, and its inherent color cannot be altered. Choosing varieties like bluestone provides a subtle bluish tint that complements many exterior designs. These natural hues enhance curb appeal and create a refined, timeless look in your outdoor space, ensuring a sophisticated finish with minimal upkeep.

Flagstone for a patio must have a minimum thickness of 1.5 inches to reliably support furniture and foot traffic. Using stone that is two to three inches thick is recommended to ensure lasting durability. The increased thickness prevents cracking under load and enhances long-term performance. Investing in thicker flagstone provides superior stability and resistance to weather conditions, ensuring your outdoor space remains both safe and attractive.

You can paint a flagstone patio by using a high-quality, outdoor elastomeric latex paint designed for heavy foot traffic. Painting not only refreshes the patio’s appearance but also creates a waterproof barrier that protects the stone from damage. Regular reapplication every one to two years maintains its durability and visual appeal, ensuring your patio remains both stylish and well-protected.
