"This is the most unprofessional moving company I've ever encountered. They arrived late didn't call me I called them. And when I asked to speak to the manager Bob the telephone agent was condescending and rude as well as the manager. (Forgot his name) It was more than double the quoted price. I've had plenty of movers before but never like this one. The movers were ok however the took my table apart and didn't reassemble it together properly and left some of my items outside without my knowledge or approval!!!!! I didn't pay $1200 to have my stuff left outside!!! Since they came outside of the quoted time my friend stayed with my stuff until they were finished. So she told me that the movers were talking about her giving them a tip (in Spanish) some people do understand. And they were rude until a man came with her. How ridiculous!!! Never in my life have I been treated like this from any movers."

"I highly recommend Fast Movers! Madelin and her crew were a pleasure to work with. They were fast, kind, and paid attention to detail. They made sure to check conditions of furniture and made sure they caused no damage. They also made all the boxes very organized when they brought them inside. They made sure all the furniture was where we wanted it. It was a bonus that Madelin took our hanging clothes from the closet and put them back into the new house saving us the time and energy! "I used Movers USA at the beginning of this year to move my 10’ X 15’ storage unit from NE Balt. City to an apartment in Asheville, NC. Prior to my selecting this company, I checked out 6 or 7 other companies also listed on Angi, and along with Movers, seriously interviewed and went over to another company and met with them in person. I dealt with Movers’ owner Sharon Nahoom a number of times through email and in a couple of calls. In addition, I went over to his office located in the very large company storage facility in Jessup. I was impressed with this storeroom being well organized and its’ sheer size and the size and cleanliness of a truck he showed me. In addition, Sharon was friendly and overall fairly accommodating. Mr. Nahoom was the only one honest and clear with me, that as I personal had packed everything, and even though most boxes were clearly labeled, no insurance carrier would insure them as they had not been professionally packed. This honesty saved me at least $300 to $500 on needless insurance. In addition, Sharon was flexible with me on matching some terms that the other company I was serious dealing with offered—-no charge for an extra day of storing my items in the truck, extra steps to the apt, and on pick-up and delivery dates. He was also reasonable with his price—-being on the lower end of the scale from the 7-8 companies I had quotes from. The cheapest by far, was a company located in Washington state that used contracted movers—-but I didn’t want to take a chance with this The pick-up went smoothly, starting on time, and with the foreman—-Fernando, and four younger movers emptying my storage unit into their truck in a couple of hours. Two days later in Asheville, Fernando showed with a lady helper—-but no-one else. He managed to do the bulk of the moving himself up 30 steps—-as the apt was on the third floor. A number of times I had to assist him from his unloading the top couple of boxes—-as he would just carry them up on his back with a large canvas strap! If I had not helped some with some boxes would have fell to the floor. He stated he was in ‘a rush’ as he wanted to get back through the mountains down her before the forecasted storm early that afternoon. Things were rushed as fair as quick decisions by me which room specific boxes and items were put—-as we were dealing with the realities of one mover in a rush, with nice woman periodically bringing up a few more things up. Overall the move went smoothly, but I have concerns that just having one man with some extra help was “putting almost all the eggs in one basket”—-if he had gotten hurt, plus he had done all the 8 plus hour drive here, and was doing the same on the way back. Only thing broke was a worthless drinking glass that I had poorly packed. As I had about 280 boxes I wanted to open them all and see that there was no damaged items. I had taken some items to my sisters in Montgomery Co and then took down most this when I headed south a few days after the storage unit move, and given a number things to Goodwill —-so not sure about a couple of things I thought I still had. Overall I would have given this company somewhere around a “B+” grade but as there are no ‘pluses’ or ‘minuses’ that is why I gave Movers 4 stars rather than the 5."

"I had an extremely negative experience with this moving company. The initial estimate was $2,900, but when the job was finally done, they demanded $5,400?almost double the original quote. The move was estimated at 8 hours, but it ended up taking 15 hours, going late into the night. What made the situation worse was that I was told I had to sign and pay immediately or the workers would not be allowed to leave. This felt very pressured and unprofessional. After negotiating, I still ended up paying far more than expected. To be fair, the workers themselves were great?hard-working, polite, and respectful. However, the way the company handles pricing and payment is unacceptable, and I cannot recommend them based on this experience."

"I wish to file a complaint against an Angi referral. The company is Great Job Moving & Storage. GJ marketed themselves as a “long haul” moving company. However, when I visited their website, they operate in a 3 state area, Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. When I told them I needed to move from La Plata, MD, to Texas, they said they could move me to Texas. This was the beginning of my nightmare! My POC with GJ was Heather, (703) 598-6825. I retained them to move one bedroom and 50 boxes, that I packed myself. I emailed Heather my inventory. Although, I packed 50 boxes, and did not require packing services, I received paperwork from Heather for 3-bedrooms. I explained to Heather that I did not have 3-bedrooms of household goods, and I would not need packing supplies, as I would use my own boxes, paper, and packing tape. In my opinion, GJ charged for some packing materials to justify costs, i.e., a roll of black plastic wrapping cellophane tape for $45 and probably storage. Heather provided no justification or written paperwork for the $1700 I paid in advance and there were no itemizations. When, I asked Heather about liability, she said GJ was only liable for minimum recovery damages. Heather was the only POC, I ever communicated with during this whole ordeal. She could not give me the total cost for the move which I asked for several times. There was no Bill of Laden. She required a $100 deposit which I paid. GJ picked up my household goods on September 18, 2025. Heather did not tell me my stuff would be stored until GJ could find another moving company going to Texas! On my pickup day, September 18, 2025, I asked how long it would take to arrive in Texas, not knowing the furniture would be stored, since this was not disclosed. Heather told me it would have to be taken back and weighed to determine the cost! She said it would be 14 days which I considered extremely long, since most carriers deliver within 7-10 days, or sooner. When I called Heather to express my frustration for the time to deliver to Texas someone in the office mentioned, that it could be sooner if GJ could get it on a truck going to Mississippi!! In my opinion, there was deceit and entrapment. Had GJ been forthcoming about all this, I would not have selected them and gone with another moving company! My household goods finally arrived on Monday, October 6, 2025! The moving company was Green Line Relocation. This was not the company who picked up my goods. This person, Ali, called me at 1:00 PM on Sunday, October 5, 2025, and informed me he was dropping off my household goods the next day, Monday, October 6, 2025 between 8-10 AM. He said to have cash or a Money Order for $2903.40. He was rude! He wanted to know if I was going to pay and that he was not unloading his truck, until in paid cash or Postal Money Order! I considered this as “holding” my furniture “hostage” until I paid! I was offended and angered!! He was reluctant to assemble my Queen- size bed because he said he was just dropping off and he had another load to drop off! Ali told me he did not have time to assemble my bedroom, although I paid GJ to pick up and assemble! Ali eventually agreed to assemble my bed and dresser in haste and damaged my bed. In my opinion, he was disgruntled and angry during this whole ordeal with me. Ali, whom I believe, is Middle Eastern, refused to discard the packing materials and when I objected to him leaving the packing materials, i.e., boxes, plastics, trash, etc., he directed me to call somebody he knew because he was taking away the “trash”. I have paperwork, photos, and vides, of the damage that was done to my household goods. I plan to seek the maximum allowable under GJ’s contract, due to damaged boxes, mold and mildew, water damage, irreplaceable items, and broken delicate items in boxes, due to the mishandling of my household items."
