"ALR Painting did such a fantastic job. My home was built in 1908 and the original paint was chipping away and old. Alex was able to match the exact color of the house and went above and beyond my expectations. I was particularly impressed with the care he took in prepping the home prior to painting- scraping, sanding, and caulking. The paint job wasn’t easy. Alex definitely takes pride in his work and he managed to complete the project much faster than I expected. My house looks AMAZING! I could not be happier with my experience and I highly recommend ALR Painting to others."

"I have an 86 year old home I'm trying to sell. It had painted hardwood floors under paint that someone painted! What a crime! I had Tim come out and refinish all three of my bedrooms. Oh my goodness, once I saw the finished pro, I wished to God I had had Tim done my floors 8 years ago when I bought the home. He was fast, worked so hard to get the floors perfect. I just know I will get top dollar now for my home! I wonder if he will do my new home in Texas? You can't go wrong using Tim!"

"Extraordinary painting service. Both Jesse and Josh have a great work ethic. From the meticulous prep and repair pre painting, keen eye for detail, to their helpfulness above and beyond the original scope of the already really large project. One example:. I had mentioned to Jesse that I could not find anyone interested in repairing a leaking roof on a small shed attached to the barn he was painting. I came home the next day to find him doing the repair! They made sure that I was 100% satisfied with the completed painting (multi story house, 2 story workshop, and 4 horse barn) before they left. Outstanding customer service! I highly recommend and will use them again for the interior."

"I have hired Tim numerous times for projects. He installed an Elfa closet system to perfection, many different light fixture changeouts, crown molding installation, paint jobs, cabinet hanging and overhead fan motor fixing. He is professional, pays attention to detail, and knowledgeable on all projects. I would highly recommend Tim and use his services again!"

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Pollock Pines, CA

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
