"The initial work was completed on Jan. 26 and was satisfactory. However, there were additional items left undone that were agreed upon by the owner Robert Stults and were paid for. These were minor items, but important. A major item left undone was the purchase and installation of 6 hedge trees that were not paid for. From the beginning Robert was cooperative and hands on for our work. However, whenever an estimate, invoice, or paid receipt were requested we were told that he would email them ASAP. Unfortunately, none of these items were ever sent. We were promised that the 6 trees and the remaining work would be completed on Jan. 29, but no one showed up. After a number of phone calls with no response we became concerned. Many of our calls were answered by a woman who answered by different names, Able Landscaping the Evergreen Landscaping not R&D landscaping. She promised to forward the message to Robert. At one point she said that Robert was having some health issues and would get in touch with us in 5-6 days. Robert was always very personable, so we gave him those extra days. However, after 6 days our patience had been used up, and we began calling again. In addition to the remaining work at our house, we had approved a major project for my son's house. This project was to be a total redo of the backyard including cleanup of the existing area, new sod and irrigation, and many plants and shrubs at an agreed price of $4500. No money was exchanged on this project. My son works so it was up to us to coordinate this project. This is when Robert's lies started to emerge. We set up 3 different start dates for this project in conjunction with finishing our project, and each time we had to call and ask where are your crews? Lie #1 was that his truck had been stolen at a gas station and it took him all day to recover it. They would be there the next day though. The next day my wife waited at my son's house and I waited at our house to no avail. When my wife called Robert, he responded that they were on their way. No one showed up. We rescheduled both jobs for Feb.9th. At 10:30am no one was at either job site so we called again. Robert said the crew was loading up their truck and should be on the way within minutes. At 12:15 we called again and again Robert said he was gassing up the equipment and should be there soon. At 2:30 with still no one at either job we called again and got no answer. Since that day we have reached out to Robert by phone and text only to get no response. On 2 occasions he did answer his phone only to hang up on us after we identified ourselves. I finally sent him 3 texts, the first listing the unfinished items for our house. The second requesting, again, a receipt for our payments, and the third cancelling all the work for my son's house until our house was finished. Yesterday my wife tried again, and he did answer but immediately hung up when she said her name. We paid Robert in cash a total of $9100.00. I had Robert initial an invoice for the money, so we have proof of the payment. He told us all the work and material were guaranteed for 6 months and already some of the smaller plants are dying. Robert has a great line of BS and is very personable. I feel obligated to proceed with this matted for our benefit and also the reputation of Angie's List, which because of your referral we hired Robert in the first place."

We are leaders in the area for concrete leveling services. We are the only company in Southeast Michigan to offer slab-jacking/concrete raising with pump 100% Limestone and foam. The simple 3-Step process (drill, pump, patch) will level your un-even slabs and stabilize your sub-soils. We also offer joint & crack sealant, precast step replacement as well as small new concrete installation.

"Detroit Concrete Leveling diagnosed my somewhat complex driveway issues and fixed the issues as described. They were honest and efficient in quoting and completing the work. I was able to hire a snowplowing contractor after this repair."

WaterBGone Basement Waterproofing is an independently owned and operated company serving South Eastern Michigan for over 25 years. When you call or email WaterBGone Basement Waterproofing, you won’t be dealing with a salesperson; you’ll be dealing directly with the owner. Not only do we guarantee that if you call today you will have your estimate in 24 hours or less, we guarantee our basement waterproofing services with a lifetime transferable guarantee. We will always give you honest advice and fair pricing. Because we are a small company with low overhead costs, we will beat any competitors quote by $300. Joe actively volunteers for FEMA and Habitat for Humanity.

"Terrible experience spent so much money with a guaranteed warranty for accepted job only to find he wasn't so nice and polite once I pointed out issues with incoming water issues remain the same, as if no work had been done. His own worker told me alone in private "I told him more should have been done." Joseph Safie aka Joey Safie works under Licensed Number 2102196780, which is SAS Services, Inc. - Don't let him scream at you when you have a warranty problem or bully you telling you that you have the wrong company, review the license on contract. The company is licensed under SAS Services, Inc - check out reviews under that name. Joey refused to honor his promise on workmanship or warranty, and only offered to charge me thousands more with no proof of drainage connection on work performed. Zero Integrity and Honor of Workmanship. Don't endure the drama of his Jekyl and Hyde persona of this contractor that works under licensed name SAS Services, Inc. (look up reviews there before anything else)."

I offer handyman services specialized for property developers, commercial customers, and realtors (work by appointment only / no emergency service). Networked with other contractors, professional reports, Documentation of work for closings, and price security are a few services that set me apart from others. I work by appointment only. Rates: $60.00 per hour, $25.00 trip charge.

"Art has done multiple projects for me over the last 12 years. He's done everything from fine carpentry to building self wicking vegetable garden tubs, to building a gazebo, to electrical projects, to plumbing repairs and upgrades. Some of the projects have been simple and covered only a few hours of labor, some of the projects have been extensive and lasted over a week. Art has always made sure the project was done to his standards - which are nothing short of exceptional. The quality of his work cannot be overstated. He's a great collaborator, an honest man and a creative problem solver. I consider myself very lucky to have met him."

"They waterproofed our basement several years ago. They included a lifetime warranty (not my lifetime, but the lifetime of the structure.) We've had subsequent leaking and getting them to revisit has been a nightmare. They don't return calls, they arrive 3 hours late to an appointment and then when they determined the work needed fell within the warranty, they never called to schedule the follow up appointment. When we called, they booked us for 2/8/2019 between 9am-10am. When they didn't show by 11am, we called. They said that because we don't have a cell phone, they couldn't reach us. (We only provided them a home phone number) and that our appointment was cancelled because of an emergency yesterday. They do not care about our business because we have already paid them over $5,000 and they refuse to follow through with their guarantee."

FAQs for concrete flatwork repair & resurface projects in Pontiac, MI

When evaluating whether patching can address your concrete blemishes, it’s important to assess the extent of the damage. Minor issues such as small cracks or chipped areas may be effectively repaired with patching techniques that restore the surface’s appearance. However, if you notice widespread deterioration, significant cracks, or structural weakening, resurfacing is recommended as a more durable, long‑term solution. A thorough evaluation by a concrete specialist can help determine the best course of action for restoring your concrete to its optimal condition.

The optimal time to resurface your concrete driveway is late spring. This period benefits from warm temperatures and softened ground conditions following winter’s freeze‑thaw cycles, ensuring that the new overlay bonds securely and matures to a durable finish. Resurfacing at this time also enhances your property's safety and curb appeal. Engage a concrete professional to schedule your project during this ideal season.
