"They tried to repair the oven, but the parts were no longer available, so they had to purchase a new oven and install it. They purchased it because it was under home warranty. One of the reasons we keep renewing the policy is they're so good and so prompt and knowledgeable. I don't see any reason to go anywhere else. They were prompt and courteous and knowledgeable."

"We've used Complete Lawn Services for years.  They make appointments...they show up!   They call ahead for days of service and are on time!!   Prices are competitive and very fair.  The work is done quickly and at the cost estimated.  I can't say enough good things about this company.  They are excellent in every way.  Once they recommended someone who could do a particular service  cheaper...it was a service they could perform, but since they didn't do it often, another company could do it cheaper...Wow!  They are the first ones I call! <br />"

"The experience went really well. Communication was a bit patchy but compared to other companies who never even called us back, it was decent. We got a written quote for the pad and drive originally which included a military discount (3,600 total). My husband had mentioned to Donald that we were planning on resurfacing the rest of the driveway as well at some point in the future. On the day of service, Donald offered to a quote to do the rest of the work since the equipment was already on site and that included a military discount as well. The whole project was completed in a day and we are very satisfied with the results and the quality of work. Definitely would recommend him to friends and hire again."

"We have purchased many different plants and trees over the years from Scherz and have never been disappointed with them. The sales staff is very knowledgable as is every person we speak with there. We have returned plants a couple of times and there is absolutely no hassle about replacement and they also tell us what went wrong with the plant. They even admit if it was their fault as far as a bad plant. I cannot speak well enough about this company but rest assured it is an A+ company for sure."

"I couldn't have been more pleased with our decision to have Strowd Marine Construction build our boat house and retaining wall. The quality of their work is top notch and will last for many years to come. One of the many reasons we chose Strowd was in shopping multiple builders, Strowd always followed through on their commitments. If they said they would call tomorrow with a proposal, they called the next day with the proposal. We found this follow through on commitments to be their standard throughout the project. The team of Strowd craftsmen had high standards for themselves in their quality of work and work ethic. They built us a beautiful boat house that will last for many years. They came to work every morning at 8am, took a quick lunch and wrapped up every day at 4pm. They were very professional, always being respectful to us and our property. They were very responsive to us, answering any questions that we had immediately. Strowd owners, Billy and Sheri, did an amazing job working with our lake management organization to ensure everything we built was within restrictions. They have a wealth of knowledge on what can and cannot be done on the lake as well as maintain a great relationship with the inspectors. They were at the job site everyday working right alongside their team of craftsmen They set a high standard for quality of work and pay close attention to detail. They started the project when they said they would and completed the project on time. They kept in constant communication with us on accomplishments and the next steps. Our satisfaction was extremely important to them at all times and they didn't request final payment until they were sure we were 100% satisfied. They were honest, even tempered, considerate, hardworking, good people that were enjoyable to have around. Strowd Marine Construction is the standard in boat houses, outdoor kitchens and retaining walls!"

"Our original plans were different from the final design. Paul Korody evaluated our plans and suggested changes due to the expense of what we originally asked for. We took his suggestions and ended up with a quote about half of what our original plan would have cost. Paul was professional and so were his crew. They showed up on a Monday morning and finished by Friday, completely to our satisfaction. Docked one notch for missing our first consultation appointment and not calling back by the next day. We almost passed them up because of this. All other criteria we were completely satisfied and would definitely recommend using them again. I did not rate them on price because we are unfamiliar with the landscaping business and other landscaping companies we contacted were unable to quote us right away due to their workload. The pricing did come in under what we had budgeted, so we were satisfied."

"This work spanned six to eight weeks owing to weather delays. All work was coordinated with the customer including extensive communications between the primary contractor and his subs. All work was done from to satisfactory to excellent in quality. Mr. Long and his crews worked very hard long hours. The work required breaking out some bed rock. Mr. Long's design work was excellent and visionary. This project began as a basic plan to replace the retaining wall and install the steps up to the street from the drive apron. Their work took us from a home drive and entrance which resembled a delivery entrance and turned it into a show piece approach to our beloved home. <br /> Any issues which arose as the work progressed was immediately addressed in a positive and effective manner by the general contractor, Billy Long, Gardens at the Ridge proprietor and all his subcontractors. They accommodated all of our thoughts and ideas and addressed some minor complaints very effectively, making adjustments at no additional charge. All work was completed as expeditiously as possible given the adverse weather. All work came in at or under budget. Based on other contractors we had estimate portions of this project, this contractor was somewhat higher but within 10-15%. However because of excellent recommendations from satisfied customers over many years we went with them. In any case we believe we got what we paid for and more. This project completion exceeded our wildest expectations. We unequivocally recommend the folks from Gardens at the Ridge to anyone considering any type of landscaping or stone work."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Port Lavaca, TX

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
