"I couldn't have hoped for a better experience. The scheduling was professional and prompt, the service was spot on and high quality. They arrive in a nice truck with lots of supplies, and do a quick estimate, then get right into it. I had a list of jobs saved up, which included installing new bathroom fixtures and new outlets. Everything was done just right and the area left clean and everything tested out to my satisfaction. No surprise in the bill and I felt it was a fair price. Positive Responsiveness, Punctuality, Quality, Professionalism, Value Services Light fixture installation, Electrical outlet & switch installation"

"I am extremely pleased with my services from Tripped Electric. From working with their administrative staff (Tessa) on scheduling, to the 4 electricians who worked at my home (Jacob, Skyler, Marcus, and Justin) -- this business could not be better at what they do or more professional. I would 100% work with Tripped again for any of my electrical needs."

"My request for an HVAC system through Homeadvisor was very clear. The home does not have an existing furnace or ductwork. When the salesperson called, I explained that the home needed a furnace and ductwork. The agent said no problem we can handle that. Unfortunately, the sales agent that came today informed us that the company does not do new ductwork installation. They only perform repairs or replace furnaces. He did offer a mini-split solution, which isn't viable for our home due to power outages. Very frustrating and a total waste of my time and David Shelton the Comfort Consultant that came to our home."

"We had some lights updated in our house and Plaza Electric did an outstanding job. They also recommended adding undercabinet lighting-and it turned out amazing. We're really happy with the results. Highly recommend them-professional, detail-oriented, and great to work with!"

"Both electricians/contractors were very professional and friendly. I showed them the room (aka a nursery with a vaulted ceiling) as well as the ceiling light replacement, and they immediately got to work. They finished in less than 30 minutes instead of the 1 hour I was told over the phone. They were honest and charged for half-hour."

"Dave from As You Wish did an excellent job completing a significant electrical project in my 1950's home to install multiple circuits in the living room and kitchen, Ethernet fiber and under cabinet lights. He is professional, experienced, and led his team to complete the job on time and with high quality. I highly recommend his work!"

"We discovered that our 1913 craftsman home had faulty electrical wiring throughout the home that was in desperate need of improvement. Ion electric did a very thorough assessment of the property and what would be needed. Due to it being an older home there were some challenges figuring out how to get wiring to certain parts of the home but the workers did a great job minimizing the required access points that reduced need for additional drywall repairs. The workers were professional and courteous and went above & beyond to ensure we had a successful project. Everything worked out well and I would hire Ion again."

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Preston, WA

Because installing coax outlets involves working around existing electrical wiring and confirming proper grounding, many homeowners prefer to hire a licensed electrician. A professional completes the work safely, secures the line behind the wall, and ensures the installation meets local code, which reduces the risk of damage or future repairs.

You still need a coaxial outlet for most cable-based internet services. The modem draws its signal from a cable line that terminates at a dedicated wall jack. Once the modem is online, your Wi-Fi router can broadcast the signal throughout the home, so the outlet’s location doesn’t affect wireless performance. If an existing jack is damaged or in an inconvenient spot, an electrician can move it or install a new one to maintain a strong, reliable connection.

Coaxial cable loses signal strength the farther it runs. A 50-foot length introduces noticeable loss, and a 100-foot stretch can drop the signal by roughly 30%. A weaker signal can result in a fuzzy picture or slower internet speeds. To maintain high performance, limit cable length whenever possible, select the correct cable grade, and route it efficiently. If your layout demands an exceptionally long run, an electrician can install an inline amplifier to boost the signal and maintain picture or data quality.
