Small jobs welcome

"Excellent. I also hired him last year to paint the whole interior of my home. For all of your construction needs, you can't beat his prices, his work ethic and his great and personable attitude. I run an animal rescue in the house and some vendors won't work with dogs or cats in the area, but Carey Houser [Houser Construction] was able to navigate the situation. Every dog or cat owner: hire Carey!"

"Mr. Chavez contacted me to set a scheduled visit. Called before he arrived. Arrived on time. Provided a verbal price onsite. Within 24 hours, sent an agreement for the project. Power wash/Paint outside 2story +basement. Great price. He requested a start day/time. Arrived on time. Power washing went very well. Painting is magnificent!! Great job and will hire again!!"

"It was the smoothest paint job that I have ever experienced and will  no doubt recommend Robert and his crew whenever the opportunity arises. I plan to have my cabinets redone and the basement painted and will use Competitive Painters."

"Baltimore Power Wash did a great job with power washing our medical office building. He showed up on time and did an excellent job cleaning the outside of the building to the highest standard. We highly recommend Josh's work and plan on using him on other commercial projects.

"Jaime and his crew did a great job . They were punctual and did the work in a timely fashion. The only thing I would suggest is to do a better clean up job after the work is completed and ensure sure all outlets and bulbs are screwed back in place. Overall, the painting of my interior and exterior looked fabulous. I would recommend Jaime to family and friends."

"Amazing!!! They completely transformed our dining room from dark and dated to bright modern and beautiful. They were prompt, professional, squeaky clean and fast! They paid extremely close attention to detail - not a drip or drop was out of line along the molding or chair rail. It could not have turned out more perfectly. And talk about easy - we picked out our paint and they took care of EVERYTHING else. No need for us to buy supplies or anything! I highly highly recommend Shalom Home Solutions and will use them again!"

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Prince Frederick, MD

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
