"We hired Eric and his crew to finish off our yard that had been a family project for several years, and they did not disappoint. We had done so much and needed a professional team to finish off the soil and sod. They arrived as promised and got right after it. They tackled several unexpected challenges throughout the job easily. They tilled in the soil amendment as required for the CSU New Establishment watering permit, we didn't think our soil could look be healthy. During that process they made adjustments and repairs to our sprinkler system. Eric wanted to ensure that their work would not be wasted. Once the sod arrived installation was quick, and it made an instant change. For years, our yard never had grass, so wow, what a change. Eric and his team were awesome, I am pretty detailed focused, and it was great to find someone and their team who did the job as if it was their own home. I would hire Cano Custom Landscapes in a minute for our next job. Eric and his team took our yard to the next level and we were extremely lucky to find them. So to all our Angie's List neighbors, we highly suggest that you look to Eric and his team for your next landscape project. They will take care of you! <br />"

"They did an amazing job and so fast, took them only two days to come out and get it done. Their customer service was fantastic! They gave us complete, and clear instructions on how to keep our lawn looking great and they were the lowest price in our area. I will defiantly hire them again if we need anymore landscaping needs, and I would defiantly recommend them to others that need help with any of their lawn needs."

"Extremely smooth. As stated above, one of the easiest contractor/business owners I have ever worked with on projects.  <br /> His two guys showed up, had the front lawn removed and tilled before I even realized they were working. Very professional. <br /> Next day they were back and had the everything prepped for the sod and went straight away to getting everything done fast.  <br /> Any future work I am planning will be done by Lawnscapes. <br />"

FAQs for lawn care aeration projects in Pueblo, CO

Aeration is the best way to keep your lawn healthy and vibrant. Annual aeration makes your lawn more breathable and helps nutrients reach the roots, improving water absorption and reducing puddles where pests might breed. However, timing matters. It's best to avoid aerating during droughts, extreme heat, or if your lawn is battling weeds. A local pro can help you determine the ideal time for your yard.

Most lawns benefit from annual aeration to keep them healthy and thriving. If your lawn has a lot of thatch buildup—more than half an inch—you might need to aerate twice a year for a couple of years to get it under control. But if your soil isn't compacted and there's minimal thatch, you might be able to skip a year.

When you hire a professional lawn care company, a standard 10,000-square-foot lawn takes about 30 minutes to aerate. Uneven, sloped, or especially large lawns can take significantly more time. So, depending on your lawn's size and condition, the process can take anywhere from half an hour to several hours.

The best time to aerate your lawn is during the spring or fall when your grass is actively growing and the soil has enough moisture. Aerating once in the spring and once in the fall yields the best results. Avoid aerating when your lawn is dormant or right after heavy rain when the soil is too wet—that can make aeration less effective.

Even if your lawn looks healthy, aeration can still be beneficial. If you have good growth, proper drainage, and little thatch, you might not need to aerate right away. Regular aeration helps water and nutrients reach the roots, keeping your lawn strong over time. Keep an eye on your lawn's condition to decide when it might need aeration.
